| Everyone bows down to Trump. I take comfort in history. Historically, when inequality becomes this pronounced there has been revolutions. The GOP will reap what they sow. |
The only question at this point is if the GOP will be willing to use their paramilitary (ie ICE) to maintain power or if they let free and fair elections prevail. By the time November rolls around, the American public will be in dire economic straights. |
| $25 Billion for Iran so far. Oh what that money could have done for Americans here at home. |
I will never accept any GOP argument in the future around fiscal responsibility. |
Because they don't actually care about fiscal responsibility, they just wield it as a cudgel whenever there's a Democrat in the White House. It's been this way for what, over 40 years? Profligate spending and reckless tax cuts when Republicans are in power, and belt-tightening austerity otherwise. |
When is the last time Republicans were the party of fiscal conservatism? It's been a loooong time... |
| Nixon, I suppose. |

$25B so far for the stud war in direct costs
$1300 in added fuel costs per average driver $4k in increased food costs per household Instead We could have given medicaid to 3M people Community College tuition for millions Nearly every school child could have had free lunch |

The global oil price has soared above $126 a barrel, its highest level since 2022, after Donald Trump warned the US blockade of Iranian ports could last for months and peace talks remained stalled.
After surging more than 13% in 24 hours, the price of Brent crude futures reached its highest price since the war began on 28 February. Not since Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine has Brent topped $120, with the price then peaking at $139. Trump is not even considering when the blockade might end. This will hurt ALL of us, around the world. |
Um, is this a true quote? |

GDP grew at a mushroom-like 2% for the quarter.
That is, at best, tepid. |
That is pretty abysmal |
