If looks weren't important, what would you do? What would you NOT do anymore?

I am so tired of it all. The blowdrying, the styling, the shaving, the plucking, the pedis. The spending money on all of the aforementioned. Ugh. I wish I just didn't care about my appearance. If I could just stop caring, I'd get a buzz cut and wear baggy old jeans, tee shirts, and sneakers everyday. I'd stop wearing make up and just say the hell with it all. It would be such a time and money saver too.

What would you do?

Eat as much as I want and never work out.

Pretty much the same.

Eat a lot of carbs.

As someone who has had maintenance-free cuts and the opportunity to wear shorts and tshirts to work, it feels better to have my hair, nails and makeup done.

Well I'm new to DC and from a climate where you are in flip flops for 12 months of the year, so I have a secret--and that's that I'm experimenting with how long it takes for my toenail polish to grow out! ha ha

I would eat carbs…bread and melted butter….chocolate cake!! Pasta!!

I would let my gray grow in.

I would wear the same comfy sweats every day!

But I kind of like my makeup (it's been minimalized over the years, so a little of the right stuff does the job and there's other stuff I skip these days) so I'd keep doing that.

I would probably stop wearing makeup, especially mascara. God, I hate removing that stuff. I'd stop dying my hair, getting manis/pedis, and I'd wear yoga pants a lot more.

I don't mind makeup as much as many PPs, but I'd definitely cut down on hair maintenance. All that coloring/cutting/styling does get annoying pretty fast. A buzz cut is my ultimate dream.

Would everyone stop shaving? Not just the legs, but pits too? And bikini area? I know I would. The hell with it.

All of above, starting with the hair ... then makeup. Before you know it I would look like a farm woman from a depression era photo.

Carbs and ice cream all the time. A short haircut. Stop shaving.

Hair removal, except for the pits. The mere idea of smearing deoderant allover a bunch of hair just grosses me out. Plus hair holds onto stick much more than bare skin.

I forgot about exercise pants. I'd wear them everyday. They're so comfortable!! In reality, I can barely stand to be seen at the gym in those tight pants.

I think I'd stick with my same routine-- light makeup, working out pretty much daily, eating sensibly but not depriving myself. I do these things for me, not someone else.

Great thread! I'm not alone
I would shave my hair! Its now long & gets frizzy at the hint of heat. Looks ok in winter & spring.
Live in yoga pants and never EVER wear another bra! I'm a 34D (sometimes DD) some days I want my girls free

Me too. I would be a fat slob too. I probably wouldn't even bother to shower every day either.
