I think I've seen this pet phrase a lot recently and wonder if there is one unhelpful poster or if this is just a new pet phrase of many. Also, since you try to keep General Parenting helpful, I thought I'd highlight this b/c OP (me) is seeking advice only to get shot down immediately...not helpful.
Thanks. http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/361288.page |
For a minute I thought your post was aimed at me because I have been saying this to my 13 year old son almost every day lately. It doesn't look like that particular poster has made a habit of posting the remark. It was unfortunate that she made that the first response to the thread, because the first response often sets the tone for the rest of the thread. In the future, if you report such posts rather than reply to them, I'll try to remove them quickly so that the thread doesn't get derailed.

Thanks will do. Got some good advice anyway. Isn't that nice.
I am 9 years from 13... and 13 years from 13 again. Good luck! |
So if someone hits the "report" button on the bottom of a post, it is automatically removed? (I ask because I might have accidentally hit that button recently. Also because I noticed a post removed w/o a complaint here -- the pic of the husky on the dog barking thread. That may even have been the one I accidentally hit the button on....) |
No, the website administrators see the report and they decide what to do with the post, ie, remove it. |
