Not sure but if so very lucky as he is amazing

I agree, but isn’t this something you would hope to know prior to trying out for a team?

He is going to be the coach for capital 28. That’s how capital works. A coach takes them through recruiting and then they take the next incoming class.

Though I think he is great, it probably does not matter to any player likely to make the top team.

Well, at some point he will retire or stop coaching, so that will no longer be how it will work. Just making sure that isn’t happening this year and he is in fact coaching the 28 team. I assume you know him personally?

Anonymous wrote:Honestly, all the best to the DC/VA/MD players this weekend. Pride and Stars families probably having mixed feelings right now as those teams generally go separate ways after Sunday. I appreciate much of the banter on this forum was, at least initially, from that cross county rivalry and I have enjoyed it. Wherever you all may land, I hope you continue to come back here for more trolling and trash talking. Good luck to you all.

Very well said. Def a bittersweet weekend for the teams. Many of these girls have played together for 4/5+ years together. And with a unknow future for many of them, going to mixed emotions. Let the girls enjoy this weekend with friends/teammates.

Like big foot and the tooth fairy.

Play someone. Anyone.

I know you are just a troll, so while I would like to tell you where to go, I will just offer facts for those who might be confused:

--Pride's current '23-'24 ranking is based on 29 games.

--Of those 29 games, Pride played 10 teams currently ranked in the the top 25, and 6 teams in the top 11, a total of 14 times (almost 50%) including: Eagle Stix, Coppermine, Hero's Green, Crush, MD United East x2, Sky Walkers x 3, Prime Time, Monsters, CC Lax x2, and LI Liberty. Every single one of those games was competitive (save the stinker in the NGLL playoff loss to Sky Walkers). They have played someone and anyone.

--Pride will play #2 Eagle Stix, #13 LI Jesters, and #21 Sky Walkers (for a 4th time) this weekend, leaving them with a top 15 strength of schedule, and a solid record and goal differential against that competition.

At this point, I guess based on recent tournament brackets, a too large NGLL A bracket, or some other unknown animus, you are trying to deride a team that's had a great run the last 3-4 years, developed and improved individually and collectively, and has some awesome kids/players. They are about to play their last tournament together as a unit. Better to say good luck and congrats. Stay classy.

Congrats, here’s a fortune cookie.

Reality is they already lost to Primetime and would again. Throw in losses to the teams you listed above for Genesis and it’s a great analysis.

Cool story bro

Fake news. Gussie is on the sidelines and helps coach teams during their summer recruiting season.

What really matters is your kids doing the work to get what they want. In the end the coach makes little difference. Good luck to all those pride and stars players trying out for capital.

I think one of the 2025 Blue is leaving. But I believe it’s the assistant. Keep in mind Capital could also could pair things up differently, especially if other teams are struggling (see 2022’s).

There’ve also been rumors the 2025 Coach is retiring, but I think it may be from his HS spot, or after this next group (2028s).
