I agree with this as well. At no point did Jennifer C's character come across as a stable person or a legit business partner outside of having money. What we were shown of Belinda there would be no reason she would be so quick to get sucked in. It came across as trying to hard to make the rich people look bad. I'd think those working in resorts would be jaded and have become immune to the charms of guests.

Thank you! I thought I was the only one that noticed. I can’t stand Paula because of the abject hypocrisy she exhibits. But did she feel remorse? She could have turned herself in or come to Kai’s aid. She slipped his necklace into the ocean, seemingly a “cutting of the cord.” She may have felt sorry he got into trouble, but not enough to do anything about it. If she came clean and told the family she put him up to it, they probably would have dropped charges.

No, I interpreted it more as her having an anxiety attack.

that never crossed my mind. To me the puking had to do with her feelings about getting Kai in serious hot water over the stunt she manipulated him into doing.

I think he did have a little nuance. He had a few moments where he showed some actual caring about Rachel. He looked genuinely shaken up when he stabbed Armand. He and his mom have a real relationship!

I didn’t understand how Rachel could fall in love and marry him, then hate all his personality traits as soon as the honeymoon started.
They portray her as innocent, but to get that far in the relationship she had to totally ignore some huge red flags.

This. She was definitely puking out of guilt and it was conveniently explained/covered up due to past discussion of her medical sensitivities.
