Thank you! I thought I was the only one that noticed. I can’t stand Paula because of the abject hypocrisy she exhibits. She slipped his necklace into the ocean, seemingly a “cutting of the cord.” She may have felt sorry he got into trouble, but not enough to do anything about it. If she came clean and told the family she put him up to it, they probably would have dropped charges.

BTW— does anyone think her puking indicated she was pregnant? In real life, it would be too soon to have morning sickness….but since it’s TV…

The show would have been so much better if there was some nuance to Shane instead of making him a one note parody of an unlikeable bro that everyone in the crowd can root against.

So many instances where the show's creators clearly think their audience is too dumb to grasp things unless they pound you over the head with it.

I think he did have a little nuance. He had a few moments where he showed some actual caring about Rachel. He looked genuinely shaken up when he stabbed Armand. He and his mom have a real relationship!

I am kind of out off by the portrayal of Belinda and kai as so gullible. It almost veered not “noble savage” territory, IMO, especially Belinda who is a grown ass woman and who would surely know not to get her hopes up by a clearly flakey stranger.
