It took me time too, pp. All of the negative stuff you hear people say about him, but when you listen to his own words, it's different. I wasn't planning to vote for him until a couple months ago.

So if you're telling the truth, what swayed you?

Don't hold your breath waiting for an explanation.

Why should pp waste his or her time? We know how well that works based on the 25 pages of this thread.

Yes, because he is so uplifting and hopeful in what he says. I just couldn't figure out how he's going to save our country from the worst times we have ever experienced. Do you know?

Ok. If that speech persuaded you, that speaks volumes. And it's not good. Of all the things to be persuaded by...

Was already planning to vote for him but that speech was great. Did you even watch it?

Yes, and I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But - and I'm including Hillary in this comment, too - these speeches are all sis boom rah rah rah. Where's the substance? How is he helping women earn the same as men? And does that include ALL jobs? How will he assist with maternity leave and general childcare? How will he strengthen the economy? How exactly is he bringing back jobs from China and Mexico?

last I read he's against same-sex partner benefits . . .

I could go on and on but won't. I just want to know the specifics.

Ideas are just ideas w/o a concrete plan.

All your questions still unanswered after all these months yet you will still vote for him.

Listening to his actual words coming out of his actual mouth is what ought to convince any rational person never to vote for this man.

They are just a bunch of random phrases strung together to inspire fear and raise false hopes.

Lunch today: Young waitress, two little kids, voting for Trump because of law and order concerns. Voted for Obama in 2012.
Trump could win.

Tons of us have the same concerns.

We are the silent majority.

Since when are conservatives "silent"? Some of the most loudmouth, obnoxious political commentators are conservative- Bill O'Rielly and Rush Limbaugh to name a couple. And I have many relatives who frequently post their views in Facwbook and are clear about their support for Trymp. It seems this anonymous forum just attracts a proportion of meek people who are afraid to talk out loud.

Just his face and expression. Jesus. I do not understand how anyone who is an upstanding, good person can support this guy. I am sorry, there's just no way. You might think you are good people, Trump supporters, but you are not.

I don’t know....
Judging from the comments on this board, I would say those supporting Trump are pretty good people.
The ones who are not supporting Trump seem to be the ones with hateful language and insults.

I'm sorry, I don't live in a war zone like he was implying. My America is not scary and dark.

Right. Like those good Trump supporters who call women bimbos if they disagree with them. Or the good people who think it's fine to mock people for their disabilities. Or to yell "lock her up" about a woman who has served her country for decades. Or who wear pins that say "two fat thighs, two small breasts, one left wing". They're great people.
