And, you know, when they get the borderline kids into AAP, they have created a tutoring market for themselves that will continue for years. So, losing the AAP test prep customers could cut into profits for years to follow. |
o.k., now I think you're going a little bit overboard with this
|
I am equating the people that use fear to advocate prep to drug dealers. They are trying to scare parents into buying test prep by saying their kid will be at a disadvantage without prep. They are pushing people to prep using fear. Just like the cool kids do it. It is ok. You can prep...everyone preps. All the cool kids prep. Don't worry. Oh, I am running a test prep class. Sign up. That is similar to how a drug dealer works. |
I am taking the argument to its logical extreme. |
I beg to differ: There’s one key difference between kids who excel at math and those who don’t = preparation (prep) http://qz.com/139453/theres-one-key-difference-between-kids-who-excel-at-math-and-those-who-dont/# |

100% agreement Preparation (prep), hard work and confidence is the key. This works in AAP and the NFL. --Tom Brady and Peyton Manning (The Sheriff), Marshall Manning (age 8) |
It is about the money. And threads like this that point out the issues with prepping for these tests are not appreciated because they interfere with the advertising message. |

Inequality A: Preparation and hard work is not equal to "past tests" ...Marshall Manning (8 year-old) son of The Sheriff |
this I don't get because I started googling around for CogAt test prep and found the Mercer books. Thank-goodness! I never saw an advertisement. demand precedes supply. |
| Go Marshall! It takes an 8-year-old to educate dumb dcummies. Preparation and hard work are certainly to keys to success in AAP, NFL and life. |

To all my elementary school friends and kids:
A favorite adage of my Dad-The Sheriff, "Chance favors the prepared mind". Preparation, hard work and fun are the keys to success in football, life and school. Do not listen to the silicon stuffing from tired and tiresome adults. Take a page from the playbook of life -- in school, preparation, hard work and fun favor success regardless of the AAP, ACT, SAT, O and A level changing flavors of the decade. Do not listen to fools whispering in your little ears not to work hard and prepare for school, your studies and AAP. Marshall (8 year-old) Son of Manning |
Marshall Manning, Son of Payton Manning is less than 3 years old, born on Mar 11, 2011. I am pretty sure he is not prepping for football. |
Every classroom and team I have ever been associated with will have people on the border/margin. Sometimes predictions from high scores from the draft and scouting combine (AAP, SAT, ACT, ERB, SCAT) come up short. But, my father says that should not discourage kids from hard work and preparation (prep). -- Marshall (8 year-old) |
Marshall Manning is not 8 years old, he is 2 years old. I can assure you no 8 yo did the above quote. You are worse than I thought. You make up qoutes. There is a word for that: fraud. Your fraud by prepping, your fraud by the quotes. |
All the hard work and preparation, instilled at home, has lead to 5 years of acceleration (compared to my popping and potty training peers). My dad introduced me to Kobe and LeBron and both of them told me they too experienced the same thing. Their hard work and preparation led to foregoing University altogether and getting right in the elite mix with all the adults. --Marshall (8-year-old "accelerated") |
