Shouldn't be that bad. Just ignore annoying parents.

I asked for help with this on the fashion forum. Everyone said cotton midi dress. We are new - if anyone who isn't new wants to chime in, please do!

Some parishes are very formal, some not so much. To be safe, a nice but not overly formal dress and slacks/button-down shirt would be fine even at the most conservative parishes.

This answer is confusing. The event we are talking about is the back to school BBQ at this particular school - do you have a suggestion for the dress code for this event? or is this some Chat GPT bot answer?

Two full days of mandatory orientation is ridiculous.

DC’s freshman orientation was four days - three for everyone plus an extra for students new to the school (those not coming up from the MS; it’s a k-12). It was a great experience and DC enjoyed it and felt much more comfortable when school started.

For that matter, I had a week of orientation when I started at NCS in 7th grade back in the dark ages. It was optional though, but it was great.

Encourage your kid to make the most of it.

With all the whiners who are new to the school on this thread, I don't anticipate things getting much better at this school in the near term.
