Sure it was:

Typical FOX slant in your 2nd article

"Thousands of protesters gathered across the U.S. Saturday to object to Trump administration policies, including Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) federal downsizing, reciprocal tariffs and immigration reform:"

It was estimated at 5 million country wide and i went becauseTrump was traming on the Constitution and making the country less safe to attack as well as alienating our true allies to buddy up with Putin

While most protests appear to be peaceful, there was a large police presence on standby as of 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday"

let's be real,.this great piece of fear mongering hides the fact that the real threat of danger was from Trump supporters

And they end off the article by simping for Elon by mentioning the Tesla dealership fires.

Over 1,000 protests around the country and many of them were quite huge - NYC at well over 100,000, Boston's was huge, etc. Yes, millions is definitely likely nationwide but FOX spins it down to "thousands" and downplays. Typical.

I'm not finding any sources confirming your NYC numbers. And no news outlets have been citing a million total attendees (nor millions), including the organizers, who seem to be the only source suggesting more than half a million attendees:

AP: Thousands of protesters in cities dotting the nation from Midtown Manhattan to Anchorage, Alaska, including at multiple state capitols, assailed Trump and billionaire Elon Musk ‘s actions on government downsizing, the economy, immigration and human rights. On the West Coast, in the shadow of Seattle’s iconic Space Needle, protesters held signs with slogans like “Fight the oligarchy.” Protesters chanted as they took to the streets in Portland, Oregon, and Los Angeles, where they marched from Pershing Square to City Hall.

UPI: More than 500,000 people across the United States showed up to protests of President Donald Trump's "authoritarian overreach and billionaire-backed agenda" at more than 1,400 events nationwide, the largest protest since he became president again two months ago, organizers said.

NYT: While crowd sizes are difficult to estimate, organizers said that more than 600,000 people had signed up to participate and that events also took place in U.S. territories and a dozen locations across the globe.
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/04/05/us/politics/anti-trump-protests-hands-off.html

WaPo: In their permit application to the National Park Service, rally organizers in D.C. said they anticipated a crowd of 10,000. By Friday night, though, the organizers said they expected at least 20,000. Saturday afternoon, they were estimating the crowd was five times as big as they predicted [ie, 100,000 in DC].

None of the above negates that these were large, global protests.

You aren’t going to move the PP off her narrative regarding media coverage with actual facts.

Look at the pics from across the country pp. There were more total protestors than just "thousands". Look at NYC and Boston. Estimated 15k in Salt Lake City.

I was there and I am a fed who has not been fired. And I was not alone. Does that tell you something?

Now you know how the Free Palestine massive marches were covered during the Biden administration. Nothing in the NYT or WaPo.

Mainstream media is here to uphold the status quo.

The front page equals zero coverage? Seriously?

Even all my social media feeds show the majority of those attending were old white ladies (OWL's for short)

Only J.D and repubs think that is a bad thing. You steal old people's Medicare and they'll be pissed

Really untrue though. You should check out the next one in person.

Why is this a bad thing? On every thread here there’s criticism of “boomers” voting for Trump. But now it’s bad that boomers are protesting? Maybe you’re just ageist.

Boomers fought for civil rights, women’s lib, and a woman’s right to choose. They were allowed to read books like 1984, Animal Farm in school. They heard firsthand accounts of fighting fascism WWII.

They’re fighting now and you should be thankful and get offline to join them.

Actually, mine also had a lot of old white men 45+.

There were a few "boomers" there protesting, but the majority of us were 40-65.

So those of us who have been financially screwed over time and time again by Republicans.

It tells us that you don’t know what you’re talking about — and that you’re used to believing what you’re told. Whatever.
Just to play along though, not all of us have visible “federal worker” tattoos. No one asked me who my employer is. PP, even if you’re just expecting other people to be this uncritically stupid, you might want to up your game a bit.

So, the people least likely to be targeted by Trump for militarized intervention. Awesome that they came out like that to protest!

No, it’s because they are retired. The only one who mentioned these protests to me IRL is my retired parents. Everyone my age is busy on the weekends because that’s the only time we have to get anything done because we are working all week and we have things to actually do. And kids. Who has time to stand around like this? What, exactly, are these accomplishing? I see Target is still open and busy too. Are you still protesting that too?
Anonymous
Yep, still protesting Target. And I saw quite a few kids at the protest with their parents, no doubt learning firsthand what living in a democracy means. Something they’ll probably remember forever. So if it’s more important for you and your family to make a trip to Target that day, I feel sorry for your kids.

What they really need to see is voters voting for Democrats. That would scare them straight. But so far they don’t seem worried about it. I heard ine Republican strategist say that protests turn off voters. Bad memories of Democrats supporting BLM riots, lootings, burnings.

This is absolutely correct, but Democrats continue to ignore good advice.

This is absolutely incorrect. Democrats did not support lootings and burnings. They virtually unanimously condemned it. But Republicans continue to ignore good reality and feel they have to resort to smears.

it is not MAGAs burning Teslas. It isn’t even republicans. The arson of Teslas is being done by (say it with me):

- democrats.

Its such a weird civil war amongst the democrats. Dems are burning Teslas that were bought primarily by other Dems who smugly bought Teslas to demonstrate their Green cred. Weird.

You and your obsession with burning Teslas. No burning Teslas at any protest I saw today. No Teslas at all. The destruction of Tesla is all on Elon and he seems to be able to destroy his company all on his own.

Today was a lot of peaceful angry protesters that have lost a lot, like we all have and gained absolutely nothing in return. What a waste of an administration.

NO! Destruction of Tesla is on you, it's on thuggish behavior of those who think it's righteous to confiscate property of others and steal their time they spend earning the money to pay for these cars. It's making it "dangerous" to use these vehicles, so that nobody buys them. How do you do this? Your terrorize existing owners who already paid for their cars making them afraid to use them, wanting to sell them and creating overall environment of threat for new owners who dare to buy them now. Then you blame this on Elon, as if he is going to pay for damages to the cars already purchased.

You are full of cr*p hypocrites who are either too dumb to realize that EVERYTHING in your everyday life that you use contributes to oligarchy or you simply have no ethical qualms taking away property rights of others and using THEIR property, not yours for your cause.

Unless you are Amish living off the land and barter you should stay this argument out. You have zero moral ground here.

Wow wow wow. SO WRONG! Musk destroyed Tesla through his own thuggish behavior.

Here's what you need to understand: What Musk has been doing to America is many many many orders of magnitude worse and did far more damage than some handful of incidents of some rando vandalizing a car or spraypainting a dealership.

SIT THE HELL DOWN AND START PAYING ATTENTION, NUMBSKULL.

YOU are the one who needs to sit down and stay out of the damn argument. And while I do not condone the vandalism, that is the least of the issues - WE ABSOLUTELY DO have moral high ground for criticizing Musk and DOGE, FAR more moral high ground than you dickriding Musk supporting sycophants!!!

You aren't criticizing Musk. You are terrorizing other PEOPLE. People who are now hating you. You spread hate BECAUSE the tactics you employ to ruin his company are targeting already existing owners, not new owners!

In order to suppress sales you have to terrorize existing owners making it a "dangerous brand". This means you feel entitled to property of OTHERS. You aren't compensating them, you DEMAND they surrender their property.

You are a horrible hypocrite who isn't on the receiving end of this type of ideological warfare and never was. If you were then you would not do this to your fellow neighbors, co-workers, relatives. Like I said, unless you live off the grid and fend for yourself and don't use anything you cannot make yourself or barter with others you are a part of the SAME SYSTEM. Your dependence on everyday conveniences contributes to oligarchy.

Boy, Fox has you really worked up about this made up concern. I mean,
if you are afraid of people being mean to you, you could just let people know that you aren’t a Nazi lover with a magnet or a sticker. Of course, unless you ARE a musk Nazi lover. Then you get what you get and you don’t get upset.

I am not the PP but if you are somehow justifying the vandalism of Teslas, you are just making more Trump supporters.

He has no problem destroy small people's lives. Why should we care about him losing a few cars here and there. He can still afford rent/food/healthcare. So F him.

Um. You do realize that Elon does not own those cars? Are you extremely slow?

I know that the far left and the far right never send their best but you are even dimmer than their average.

Those cars represent Elon and everything he stands for. Whatever bad things he does is in turn reflected in how his companies are perceived. Thus he is in fact responsible for people hating his brands. A large and growing swath of Americans now dislike Tesla as a brand and when you get into millions of Americans there are bound to be those handfuls of people who do deranged things like vandalize cars and dealerships. Democrats have for years had to deal with right wing threats, vandalism and violence as well. This is nothing new.

You know Elon makes a lot of money from sales of Audi, BMW, Mercedes and other cars?
