Why are you so upset that someone said congrats to another private school your kid doesn't go to that had good results? Looking at their page, I see multiple early admits to both Cornell and Northwestern (Cornell was very hard this year to our school's class) along with Harvard, Penn, Rice, Georgetown, UVA, Bowdoin, etc. Pretty strong results given it's only the early period and this school is never included in DMV's vaunted "top three" privates. No need for you to rag on the other admits. |

Here's a taste of what $60k/year gets you in NYC:

wow, it's wild when one 100 kid private can get 6 kids in early to Penn.

I have mixed feelings on this post, feels icky to compile, but I understand it’s public information. This has made me extra proud of my unhooked public school kid though. I knew it was low odds, but somehow seeing this make it feel ever more so. |
It is super icky to compile this. People can find it on their own, but putting a list together of HS kids feels really, really wrong. I wish it would be taken down. |
I disagree. It's all public info, and the high school students are choosing to post it. The kids are the social media generation, and many want people to know. |
Private + legacy and $$$ |
It was a real eye opener to me when I saw some private school threads- virtually all ivy and top 10 schools. Makes you realize how totally biased/rigged admissions is. No way statistically this many kids from single schools get into these schools otherwise. |
6 so far. This is only the ED round... |
And in the case of one of those kids, a multi-generational legacy and grandson of a VP. |
Which VP? |
