What makes me the most mad about this entire thing is those who voted for him don't even pay attention to the news. When I talk to some of my extended family about some of the things he was saying and doing they had no clue and thought I was crazy. I read a variety of news sources and watch a lot of news that I really need to take a step back because I can't live in this dystopian hell while they basically are living in The matrix

It’s not really about which country would suffer more, but which country’s citizens would put up with it. We just elected an idiot felon because egg prices went up a little bit. Americans aren’t going to put up with much suffering.

But why do we even want a trade war? Why is it beneficial for either nation to suffer. The fundamental misconception of MAGA is that trade is a zero sum game, and the only way to grow the US economy is to kneecap every other country.
