This can be said of every team everywhere. Your team included.

Second card was very questionable. Looked like a definite hold, so not sure how it was construed as a yellow. Maybe the ref had it as a slash?

Good Counsel looked solid all around. Both teams looked a bit rusty. Didn't help when Visi lost #22 for the game in the first half - did not think the second yellow was warranted. GC freshman goalie did not look like a freshman. Tough spot to be in if you're the two juniors on the roster. GC's NW commit looked good, but any contact that's made against her she acts if she got clobbered trying to get calls. She's too good to need to add that to her game so hopefully it's a one off. Thought it would be a tighter game. Until I see otherwise, GC is the team to beat in the DMV.

She'll fit right in when she gets to Evanston.

Ref needs to be better then. Give her a stern warning etc…Seems hard to recap a game and predict much from it when arguably the best player on the field plays less than half the game.

When you get 1 yellow you have to play more controlled and #22 did not. It was a slash, unfortunately, not enough refs actually card slashes like they’re supposed to and just call it a foul when in the rule book it’s a mandatory card.

And Visi's ND commit does the same thing. NW commit is just 6ft tall and lanky so it looks worse. And yes, they both got clobbered. When you are running fast and someone gets you with a stick, you're going to bounce off. Those two were the best players on the field although ND commit's little sister is giving her a run for her money.

Move on folks, GC was just the better team yesterday and looked better prepared.

GC has depth

Pretty sure the majority of responses agree with this...

It was a good game between 2 great teams. Visi's #22 second card was a slash and was warranted. After the first card players need to be aware of their situation and adjust accordingly. She did not. NW commit and ND commit were getting hammered all game and they played through it. NW commit got taken off her feet twice in the 8. No acting was needed. Also Visi players on the redefend were swinging all game. I was actually surprised more yellow cards were not given. The refs let 2 good teams play for the most part.
