She's been trolling us all along

Would love to hear from the posters who insisted three pages back that she's not "signaling" anything with her clothes.

Also, ten years from now I think it will be crystal clear that calling things "woke" was just a racist, sexist, and homophobic dog-whistle and people will be embarrassed that they threw the term around the way they did.

And this is why her hair sprayed to look like a helmet.

Anita Bryant 2.0

Yeah I mentioned her way back. That’s totally the vibe I’ve been getting from Casey and I think it’s on purpose.

New piece on her power in the post. I actually love her look in the South Carolina meet n greet.

As she was preparing for her new role, she asked an aide what Melania Trump would do or wear, what stores and designers she liked, looking to the president’s wife as a model.

So we weren't wrong about that - only she takes it to 11. Or even 12. 20. Capes and gloves AT ALL TIMES.

No, the people using that kind of language are the same kind of people in Germany who “didn’t know what was happening.” They always absolve themselves.

Oh, please. Can we go back to clothes and fashion and you open another thread a few blocks down with your moralizing.

Sure.

The people over on the politics thread who said she looks like a drag Queen were right. She looks like she’s in drag. It’s campy and not very effective and in a cis woman looks completely mental.

She constantly overdresses and girl LOVES a cape. Its funny that they are trying for generational change when they are purposefully signaling to the older voters. They are just putting a visual to "MAGA".

What on earth are you talking about? They aren't "signaling" to anyone. And she looks very cute in the above picture. You people really need to grow up.

NP

She dresses like a Donna Reed/Jackie O. wanna be. She is absolutely signaling that she and her husband want to take the US back to the "good old days" when women and minorities and immigrants and queers knew their place. Her fashion is absolutely the embodiment of MAGA.

Well, when your husband has offended every single gay person in your state, which includes the stylists and glam squad, what did you think you were going to end up looking like?

she's obviously very pretty - but lady macbeth's costumes are

It looks as if your post is part of some kind of reverse psychology effort to make Democrats feel better about Ron DeSantis.

Casey’s clothes are fine. Her husband is a fascist creep who belongs in prison.

The Jezebel roundup is great.
“Has she ever considered wearing red”

Also, kudos to Mrs. Desantis for having the confidence to wear a sleeveless cape.

A lot of women aspire to look exactly like her and will dress in a similar fashion even if she didn't exist. For me as a foreigner she looks very American. Her dressing might be kitchy, but it's not camp in any way. That would be a compliment.

It is DEFINITELY camp.
