No. The Republican primary field will act like a political firing squad. Last time Trump danced rings around them, this time, they know what he did and will use it against him mercilessly. No one in the Republican Party wants 4 more years of that, except a handful of MAGA holdouts.

Christie and the other are not going to miss this time!

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! No they won’t. They are terrified of offending Trump supporters. They are all meek, weak, grifters who ate hoping Trump will choke on a hamburger. Even Christie’s pushback is pathetic. He’s just a blustering man who licked Trumps shoes for years and is not trying to seem relevant.

They are all hoping that Jack Smith will take Trump down, and they will be the one standing there to pick up his base. They won’t dare offend him or his supporters.

These people are cowards. They are always hoping someone else will do their dirty work for them. What they don’t get is that there is no Trump base without Trump. These voters aren’t going to show up for someone else

All this ongoing testimony tells me that indictments are still a ways out.

I think the documents indictments are imminent but the January 6 stuff is still developing.

Hmm.. is the Jan 6 indictment going to come down before the 2024 election, and well before it, so that people can't whine about tainting the election process?

And they've gerrymandered themselves into a corner that overamplifies this sliver of not so stable voters.

I dare not hope for it but I would love it for the GOP if that particular chicken came home to roost.

Yes and no. The charges and evidence will have to be really, really bad for this to happen. And they might be. But I don't think anyone should county Trump out. There's just enough crazy and apathy in this country to end up with Trump again via the Electoral College.

That chicken is already headed for the roost in some states, and I think it will only get worse.
