Wednesday, 1/12: sources within the investigation say Saget died peacefully "in his sleep," "no suffering"

Friday, 1/14: In accordance with Jewish tradition, Saget has his funeral

Wednesday, 2/9: investigation reveals Saget died of a head injury from an "obvious bruise" on the head. Police speculate Saget did not know extent of injury and simply fell asleep, then died. No drugs or alcohol involved.

Thursday, 2/10: full autopsy release - abrasion of the posterior scalp, subgaleal hemorrhage, linear fracture of the base of the skull, comminuted fractures, subdural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage and contusions. Um, how did the cops and EMS miss that? Medical examiner postulates: "It is my opinion that the death of Mr. Saget was the result of blunt head trauma. His injuries were most likely incurred from an unwitnessed fall. A toxicology analysis did not reveal any illicit drugs or toxins. The manner of death is accident." Oh, but he did have Klonipin in his system

Wednesday, 2/16: investigators - the headboard did it!

What a mess.

Orange County police really wants the public to know that Saget fell and cracked his head in six places. Like very concerned about it!

So not to be graphic but my family member died in his slept from a major heart attack. He was not immediately discovered and fell asleep on his side. The blood pooled in such way that he appeared bruised, and the coroner told us that was common. It may be that the police thought that is what occurred in this class and did not immediately realize he was actually bruised.

What is in the autopsy that the family is upset about being released?

I think he did actually fall, and he was on prescription medication that makes one drowsy. He is in a hotel room, different from his own bathroom and there's a lot to slip on. I've slipped without medication.
Why are people suspicious. Cameras would see someone else come in the room.

Also, just what an unfortunate, sad, and preventable way to die. Probably happens more than we think, though.

someone is paying someone right now to leak it. just wait--the actual report will eventually come out. sad but true

If that's all that happened to Bob Saget, his family wouldn't be trying to block the full report.

why not? maybe they dont want ghouls like you dissecting every little detail of the report and prolonging their pain

100%
If you aren't actually family it's really time to move on.

+1 get a life people! His family deserves privacy. You are not entitled to know how he died.

Your knowledge of Florida state law is sorely lacking.

The reports about the room was that he was in a typical sleeping position in bed ,the room was tidy and everything was in order and only his stuff was there.

I think it was as simple as that.

He was 65, not 80! Did you read the autopsy report? You don't get that kind of trauma from a bathroom fall. His trauma equalled that of either someone who was hit with a baseball bat, or was in car accident.

Stop quoting info that is not in the autopsy report, that's not what it stated. 65, Covid+ and on multiple sleep meds? Entirely possible to be weak/out of it and have a very hard fall.

I never said that's what the autopsy report stated. I simply stated that his trauma was more like someone who was hit with a bat or was in a car accident. I completely disagree that all of those abrasions are from a normal fall.

Well, apparently the actual professional who performed the autopsy does not agree with your internet diagnosis.

It’s called spin, darling.

He died the same way that cricket player did in 2014.
Really sad, and it all happened on camera.

He took a blow to the side of the head, and died within seconds.

If he had a seizure this is normal.

There was a cricket player who was hit in the head with a cricket ball (is that what it’s called?) in Australia back in 2014 during a match that was live-streamed. He died pretty much instantaneously because the ball hit him in a weird spot on his neck, severing an artery and causing his brain to swell. Very similar circumstances to bob saget, in that he took a huge blow to the head, and died quickly. The official cause of death for both of them was a subarachnoid hemorrhage

You may need some help with reading comprehension if you took PP comment to be referring to anything relating to state law.

Several doctors have weighed in that his specific combination of injuries and their severity would be unlikely (not impossible) to result from a simple bathroom fall, even from his height of 6’4”.

Yes, all the fame /talk show seeking doctors have been coming out to weigh in here. Total coincidence I'm sure.

The state law says they do indeed have the right to know. Duh.

I would not want my family member’s autopsy results to be released under any circumstances and I’m a nobody. I feel any doctor who is commenting on this to be unprofessional and irresponsible; he family should sue them for emotional distress. His family deserves to grieve in peace.

Sorely disappointed in NBC and other stations for running with the story after they spent days honoring him after his death. Journalists should be ashamed for even making this a story. Let the family move on. This is not the publics business.
