| My DC wants to type his work sample, using spell check. It's a short science report. Do you think its better to type or write? |
| Yikes there is so much wrong here |
| If it was not produced in school it will not be given much weight..... |
| Write it. Why would the committee think he wrote it if it. Is typed? |
or, any weight at all. |
You told your DC he was doing a work sample??? For what...??? |
Agree! Work sample done outside the school is not worth any weight at all according to teacher. How do they know if it is done by the kids or not, with or without coaching? |
np here - this is the opposite of what we were told. The teachers are pulling some work samples and we were told to turn in other work samples from home projects and they will pick the best. I have things (stories, artwork, geeky stuff) my DC did at home that we are turning in. |
Disagree. If you see it, you know it. Kids do things that grownups wouldn't think of doing in a million years. You can't make this stuff up. |
|
If your child is in 2nd grade, it might be a bit weird. But if your child is in 5th grade, it would be suitable. |
Are your child's test results borderline? Are you initiating and engaging your teacher on work samples or is your school openly talking to parents about what they are doing with work samples? |
Your DC probably shouldn't be directly involved in working on his AAP package. |
|
Do 1st grade and 2nd grade carry more weight than work samples back in preK and K?
How have people noted the school grade and dates on the work samples? Do you submit originals or make color copies? |
