What is the point of this picture? What are you trying to say with it?

Not PP, but she looks like a bored toddler.

But, sure, her hair looks good….if you like the bland look.

I swear Megan has her posse on here. Kate will be Queen, Megan will merely be Megan. Which for most of us is simply enough (to be ourselves not some world star). Kate’s “job” is to be future Queen. It’s not a competition.

Your assumption that even mild criticism of Kate must be sour grapes from Meghan fans means that YOU are the one who is pitting these two women against each other.

If there are two camps on here, they're more likely to be monarchist/republican, not Kate/Meghan.

It's ridiculous that in 2022, people still believe in the divine right of kings. What claptrap.

+1. The fact that Meghans' name comes up so often organically on here really does speak volumes. She really is living rent-free in so many people's minds.

Speaking as an annoyed Canadian, I could not care less about Harry and Meghan. They don’t take Canadian tax dollars. I dislike the Cambridges because they take Canadian tax dollars that should be used for Canadians, not layabout lazy grifters.

The Queen, I like. The rest are useless thieves.

Even Rota is calling out their weird marriage dynamic.

Emotional exhaustion.

Goodness, the Cambridges are simply ridiculous.

Honestly, do they even like each other?

It’s downright bizarre how they’ve latched onto this idea that any criticism of William and Kate has to be Meghan’s fault. I will admit that I liked Kate when she got married but that sentiment has faded over the years. Now with hindsight I think her youth and their love story covered up a lot of their shortcomings. As adults they fall short so frequently on the public stage that it’s more than a little embarrassing.

The commonwealth is theirs to lose if they don’t get their act together.

Then why use your post to suggest more than once that you view it as a “competition “?
I do like her hair blown out straight like this, and I also like her outfit in this picture.

Because they’re not actually a Kate fan. They’re just a Meghan hater. All the comments are “she will be Queen some day” but like…so will Camilla and much sooner. So what does that have to do with anything?

I do like her outfit though, and her hair. So, there’s that.

I LOVE Kate. She’s genuine, beautiful, shy and humble. She clearly loves small children and seems to really find joy in her engagements with them.

So shy that her official love story with her husband involves a see through dress and a runway. You people are absurd.

Freudian slip. Kate does look a bit bewildered at times, doesn't she?

DP. The worst was on the Caribbean tour. William looked super pensive and borderline distraught and she has that same slacked jawed smile in every picture. Even someone in the rota referred to it as a “glue gun smile.” I always thought she was bright but the weird lack of awareness of how terribly it was going changed my mind.

Stop it, PP!

Kate hurt her brain from all the thinking.

She will never be queen. She will be a consort. Not that the monarch even has any real “power” it’s all just for show.

William doesn’t have to do shi$… he will be King. Harry will just be… Harry. Indict us helps for sure to keep them in lights but nothing else much.

William doesn’t have to do shit but the Queen and Charles do? How does that work lol?

He makes plenty of appearances and is regularly at events, championing causes, etc. He’s also a father of three little kids and maybe he wants to be a more present father and husband than his father and grandfather. Or maybe he’s depressed. Or facing other issues. We have no idea. But William seems as engaged and devoted to his role as one could expect and these criticisms seem mean spirited.

I gave you the court circular link. No, he doesn’t show up regularly. Look at what his grandma was doing. Look at what his father, his step mom, Sophie, Edward, Meghan and Harry were doing. He’s by all accounts not a present father and that’s not the arrangement. He is a lazy man.

But hey, he’s going to finish off the monarchy when the people revolt at him being unable to keep up his end of the bargain.

Kate is more important to the continuation of the monarchy than he is. And she's doing fine.

I think you could make that argument if the monarchy status quo was generally positive-- scandal free and stable-- but, it's not. You described Kate as fine. She is, but only fine. She doesn't have the endearing or sparkly qualities that garner significant affection or loyalty. That's what you need to counter the damage that's been done in recent years.

What is endearing or sparkly about the queen? That she never dies? I don’t get how people love that racist old woman who doesn’t care about anyone yet criticize her kids who behave exactly like her.

She does. She is a good mother and she is unflappable. The queen is loved now because she has endured. Not out of a sense of godliness but because she's been there forever. People have gotten used to Camilla, but Kate is not an interloper, she is steady. And she'll remain steady, there's no question of it.

The Queen is popular not just for her steadiness but because she has worked tirelessly for 75 years in service to the people. You can't say the same for Kate. (And you can't use the excuse of small children. She didn't work before they were born, either.)

What a bunch of crock. Work tirelessly?? Doing what? What exactly did she do for all the Caribbean nations that are now rejecting her? Please describe all the work she has tirelessly done for them.

She showed up and didn't wait until she was forced at 40 to visit her realms. Same with Charles. Same with Anne. Point blank. Sad to say the bar is that low and the Cambridges can't even do that.
