Please help me plan an itinerary. I've been multiple times, he has not. We are renting an apartment in Montmartre. Please help with romantic, kid free ideas. We love museums, history, architecture, wine and food. TIA!!

We need to know what you've already done and would or would not like to repeat. I'm just wasting my breath if I say Rodin Museum and you've already been there and already have an opinion about whether or not you want to return.

He has seen nothing so totally willing to go again. Haven't visited since 2001.

There was another Paris thread the other day. Search.

if you have been multiple times and your husband of 10 years has never been, aren't you in the best position to decide what to see together?

Stroll down Rue de Clare for the food vendors, try different foods along the way. So charming.

Wow you people are being unhelpful.

I loved the Pantheon, and there are some beautiful churches in that same area like St Etienne du Mont and St Germaine des Pres. Notre Dame is a must even if you have been before. I also really like the food in the Marais area. Some amazing falafel among other choices.

The Ile St Louis is beautiful to stroll around, lots of older homes there. I also enjoyed the medeival museum which I think is the Musee de Cluny. Enjoy!

Stained glass in Ste Chapelle. Consider getting a museum card for a day or two. Consider a side trip to Mont St Michel.

The bridge wih all the locks on it.
Bike tour of Versailles, there is a lovely cheese shop in the village near the castle and my kids thought they had the best bread we had in all of France from there.

We love the eiffel tower and that neighborhood. The food markets on rue cler are a great place to pick up a nice picnic lunch to eat near the Eiffel Tower.

We often take long walks through neigborhoods and then maybe plan for dinner. We have always had an apartment so that if we have been out all day and just want a evening meal with some wine we can do it and relax.

We have stayed in the Marais and the Seventh. I like both. The Marais is cooler and hipper and the Seventh is leafier. I would chooses one section of the city and spend the day exploring what is has to offer. Sit at the lovely outdoors spaces and walk the gorgeous pedestrian friendly boulevards. Find a cafe you like and go back a few times.

Go at night to watch the Eiffel Tower sparkle. Last time we went we took a bottle of wine and sat on the grass and watched it. One and only truly romantic moment of a trip with a 9-month old and my in-laws!

Use google maps and prepare walking directions before you go. We walked everywhere on our last trip and never took the metro. It was just a nice, romantic way to see the city.

On your walk to Notre Dame, stop at L'as du falafel in Marais to get the most amazing falafel sandwich in the world. After Notre Dame go to Berthillon for the best ice cream ever.

A touristy thing we did that I loved was go to the love lock bridge on Pont des artes and lock your love on the bridge or just look at all of the cool locks. then walk over to St. Germain and eat at relais de l'entrecote - the steak frites place that always has a line. Or if you can, get dinner reservations at Frenchie - a highly rated restaurant that isn't crazy expensive.
