| Please help to me remember which one of the grocery stores puts rotisserie chickens on sale on Fridays - thanks. |
| skip the typical grocery stores and hit up a peruvian style place. |
| Safeway. |
| Giant |
| How is Peruvian chicken better than" grocery special"? (serious question) |
| Fresh Market has 2 for $12, must buy 2. |
| Giant has cheap chicken Friday. $5 a chicken |
|
Our Safeway has them every Friday and Giant and Shopper's have them some Fridays.
However, I don't get the chickens from any of those because I've found that the ones at Sam's Club and the Peruvian Chicken places are better. How? Sam's Club will give you a chicken that weighs about 25-50% more than the tiny little ones at the supermarkets. The Peruvian ones are also slightly larger and seasoned better. Last, I've found that the ones at the supermarkets is occasionally undercooked and I have to cook them more or we'll end up with a little blood from the bones, which means it's undercooked. |
|
Costco. Everyday. $5 each. Freshly made all the time.
|
| I think giant's tastes better than Safeway. Peruvian and similar places are superior but twice as expensive in my experience. The chicken has more seasoning, isn't as wet/steamy, And is less stringy. |
| Harris Teeter's are $4.99 on Sundays |
|
I also feel that Giant's chicken is tastier than Safeway's, and Sam's Club's beats both grocery stores.
|
Way tastier. |
Not only tastier, but way bigger. We often get a whole chicken from Crisp N Juicy-- that thing feeds us for two meals. No way we'd get more than one dinner out of a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store. Plus Peruvian chicken comes with a wide variety of yummy sauces, including my personal favorite, the green spicy one. mmmmmmmmmmmm |
| Costco can't be beat. |
