WF has an organic chicken. It tastes terrible. |
I make a killer roasted chicken and it is very simple to make. I use organic free-range chicken from Trader Joe's. My kids said they could tell the difference from conventional chicken. However.... a bird usually costs $12-13 - more than any grocery store chicken + I need to be home roughly 1 1/2 hours before dinner. |
Ok when you see places that have the huge chickens...do you know what farmers do to make those chickens so big? Seriously, chickens are not so supposed to be that big -- hormones!!!!!!!!! |
What we have here is a certified chicken expert.

Which would be a fine sentiment if all of the other chickens we were talking about were free range / organic / antibiotic-free / hormone-free, but didn't you see Costco on the list of recommendations? Giant? Harris Teeter? |

The herb seasoned one at WF is delicious. I don't like the plain one. The ones at Costco taste good but are loaded with junk ingredients. |
| What is the name of the Peruvian place you buy your chicken. Is it near Bethesda? If not, then it's a no go. |
Like what? |
Not the PP, but I'm guessing this poster is the one who says Trader Joe's is all junk. |
I'm the PP, and no I actually love TJs. I can't remember what I read on the ingredients label at Costco, I just remember it was a lot more than just chicken and spices and I don't expect more for plain chicken. Okay just googled and there's carrageenan, silicone dioxide, and polysorbate 80 in them. I don't see the need for those if it's just fresh cooked chicken. |
Love Don Pollo on Wisconsin Avenue in the same block as Persimmon or Chicken on the Run on St. Elmo. |
