FET protocol- Shady Grove- anyone have info?

Wondering what the medication protocol was for your FET at SG- how much estrogen and when and how many days? Thanks!

I think it's close to what they use for donor egg, lupron, estrogen and PIO a few days before transfer.

Thanks. How much estrogen and what kind/dosage? Is it a graduated increase over time or same dosage until lining check? Estrace? Shots? Patch?

estrogen injections every three days, I can't remember the dosage, but it stayed level. Also no lupron for an FET.

I've just completed an FET at Shady Grove. I've done several over the last few years as well. They also made me take a daily progesterone-in-oil shot (ouch!). This time, although I've been taking the PIO, they are weaning me off the shots pretty soon after a successful outcome, and instead putting me on the progesterone inserts.

the dosage of the estrogen didn't increase over time? recent successful FET poster, how many did you transfer?

I am currently on an FET protocol. Mine is without Lupron but I have a friend who is transfering about the same time and me and her protocol does call for it.

BCPs for 21 days, baseline and US, start del estrogen IM shots every 3 days (dosage does not increase), lining check about 2 weeks later, if lining is 8 or greater = start daily PIO shots in combination with del estrogen every 3 days, transfer is 5 days later (if you have a blast). Continue all meds until beta which is 13 days afterwards.

Insurance covered some of my meds - I think the estrogen and I have the federal BCBS PPO which covers nothing for IVF. My meds without insurance cost about $120.00.

Mine is the same as the poster immediately above me. Except my beta is 16dpt. Is that not crazy late? If I have a negative hpt, it is going to be annoying to have to keep taking the injections. And this is with a day 6 embryo.

I just finished a FET protocol at SG and it was similar to what PPs have said. I started with birth control pills for 3 weeks, stopped that and started Estrodial every 3 days for about 2 weeks and then the Progesterone in Oil was added to the schedule but daily instead of every 3 days. I did that schedule (every day PIO and every 3 days Estrodial) until the pregnancy test. Both of those shots were IM and in the butt, not gonna lie. I hated it. The Estrodial shots were 0.2ml but the PIO was 1ml.

Good luck OP!

Hmm. Mine was BCPs for only 12 days, and then rest was the same. Why three weeks on BCPs, if you know?

I really don't know why but for the fresh cycle I did the same thing. I could be wrong but I think that during that time they are wanting the lining to thicken. Around day 14 I had the mock transfer and they checked it then but kept going. I seem to recall that my protocol had 3 weeks from the beginning and I don't remember thinking there was a possibility of shortening.

I am wondering what is used to suppress ovaries... Is there Lipron in your protocol? My FETs continue to be cancelled by I ovulate through the BCP and lupron

Will SG do a natural cycle FET, I can't tolerate the meds, but I have regular cycles so would they consider doing it without it?

What do you mean by "cannot tolerate the meds"?

I did DE at SG and they had me use Lupron for the fresh cycles, but not the frozen one.

Also the estrogen and PIO stop at beta if you have a BFN -- if it's a BFP, they can continue for 8-12 weeks.
