Anyone tried Let's Dish?

I got a coupon and menu in the mail and I'm thinking about trying it out. Has anyone tried it and if yes, how do the meals taste?

It's alright but I got tired of the food after a while.

Blech. Boring food with subpar ingredients. I vividly remember scooping out my ingredients at their location -- things like frozen vegetables with ice crystals on them.

This food can get old....but Dinner Done is better.

Dinner Done has been pretty good. You only get an entrée though, so you still have to make your sides. Sometimes you can order them to go.

I didn't find it making dinner that much easier than just cooking something simple on my own. Some of the meals were great, most were okay, a few were not good. Overall, I didn't find it worth my time.

We do Dream Dinners and rely on it for weeknights. I suck at meal planning so helps with that weakness too.

Check out Blue Apron. I love it! Easy and really varied meals each week.

I am surprised they still exist. Ours closed years ago. Seemed like a fad..

Agree 100%.

Dinner Done is/was better. Haven't used either in years. I've adopted cleaner eating and wouldn't eat it now.

I have done it a few times and while I'm not thrilled with it, there are a few things I like about it.

It is nice having the meals in the freezer for those nights where you don't know what to cook, don't feel like cooking, or don't want to do takeout/delivery.

I don't like that they rely on a lot of convenience foods, but I do like that you have control over what goes into your food.

I usually pick recipes that can be cooked from frozen (versus ones that need to thaw in the fridge) because I am rarely organized enough to plan ahead.

The food is decent. Better than most frozen meals.

I recently tried Blue Apron. I really like it, but I love to cook. It is not cheap but the food has been really tasty and so far their customer service has been impressive. There is a lot of chopping and prepping involved but I love that I don't have to do the menu planning and shopping.

I tried Let's Dish a while back. Out of the 6 meals I made and froze, we ended up eating 4 of them. None of them were spectacular. The last 2 ended up on the trash.

There's really no magic to prepping meals-- it's all about making it ahead of time rather than scrounging around in your fridge when you are already starving. You can fix anything without having to go to Let's Dish. What makes any food "convenient" is that it's ready when you need it.

I did Dinner Done before once but won't do it again.

To use the meals, I had to plan ahead, pull it out and defrost at least 24 hours in advance and the cooking time for some of the entrees was as much as an hour. So I didn't feel it saved time or effort and I never went back again.

I really like Let's Dish; we've been doing it for years. We don't use it every night, but when we haven't planned ahead or when we can't get to the store, I like that I have an alternative to take out. It also keeps us out of a food rut. Our kids like it too and will try things from LD that I'm less confident they would have tried if I'd made it from scratch.
