| I agree using a meal prep store ( I am Dream Dinners PP) helps keep us out of food rut, and it also saves us from wasted food. As I posted above, I am poor at meal planning and it leads to wasted, expired ingredients. Also we eat out a lot less than previously and we can actually manage to plan ahead for a few meals a week. It works out well. |

Ditto on the Blue Apron rec. We use it about 1x/month and it is great for just changing things up.
The only downside is that the food can sometimes be too "exotic" for my picky eating kids. |
| I did Let's Dish a few times when DS was an infant, including one session when I was 8 mo pregnant in order to have a freezer full of meals after he was born. It was perfect for that situation, but now I prefer to do my own meal planning and prep. |

I've never done it myself but when I had my DD a friend far away bought a week's worth of dinners for us since she wasn't near enough to bring us a homemade meal. As I recall, they were all decent and edible. Not exciting, but in those early newborn days they were slighly healthier and more well-rounded than another night of pizza or chinese being delivered, or something like pre-frozen Stouffers lasagna.
I wouldn't do it as part of my normal menu planning since we mostly eat fresh and organic and rarely eat out, but do see a niche for these types of services. |
| We tried a similar service in SS - Dream Dinners I think. We were not impressed with the taste and value. There were a few pasta dishes that were good. The rest of the food my family would not eat - but my husband is a foodie - it was not bad just kind of bland. |
