What's your menu for this week? I am trying to plan a menu when it will be just so cold out. (We can't have beef stew EVERY night.)

Sunday - chili (we will bring to work for lunch until gone)
monday- roast chicken & veggies
Tuesday- chicken stir fry with leftovers
Wednesday - salmon & veggies
Thursday - coconut chicken & veggies
Friday - leftovers from previous meals
Saturday - depends on what is on sale from morning shopping

More chicken than usual, but the organic roaster was on sale.

How do you make your leftover brussel sprouts edible? Taste and texture when they're reheated - mine are always awful.

polenta with meat sauce
kielbasa and collards stew
tortilla soup
something with pasta or couscous
split pea soup with popovers

Spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread

Rump roast with red beans and rice

Oven fried pork chops, homemade mac and cheese, green beans

Chicken and vegetable soup, pasta and cooked rice included because I like it like that

Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob

Desserts will be pineapple upside down cake and grand cinnamon rolls. If we run out of sweets, homemade brownies can be whipped up in a snap

Judgmental much? Really? About how people decide what they will eat?

Split pea soup with ham
Roast chicken with roasted root vegetables and green beans
Homemade pizza and salad
Pumpkin pilaf
Mushroom/leek/potato soup

DH will be out of town one night and I'll probably just have Mac and cheese with my toddler that night. The other night we'll do leftovers or takeout (if we've used all the leftovers for lunches).

Tortilla soup
Chili
Baked ziti
Rice and black beans
Enchiladas

To the PP who makes tamale pie - can you share the recipe?

Why plan it a week in advance?
Where is the spontaneity ?
What if you don't feel like eating what you planned?

I just made a bomb shepards pie but used lentils. Just make the lentils and mashed potatoes and then add the lentils to a sautéed w carrots, onions, garlic, and peas. Or anything else that excites you. Put the potatoes on top and bake. Broil at the end to brown the potatoes.
