When do NNAT scores typically come out for kids who took it in Nov.?

I thought we were told the results come back a few weeks from when the kids finish testing, but we have not gotten anything and I don't want to be THAT parent frantically calling. I am not interested in AAP because my child is strong in math/science, but not language arts. If anything if the score is strong I want to see if DC can get more math enrichment.

Late January/early February

NNAT has nothing to do with math. Why do you think a high score indicates your child needs math enrichment? We do our enrichment at home as I have found our school is not very good at that.

Op here. We do enrichment at home too. I figured it was related to quantitative/non-verbal reasoning abilities.

We got a letter also saying we'd get the results in a few weeks, but haven't gotten anything. It's interesting because APS already sent home the results a couple of weeks ago and they took it about the same time. I'm not sure what FCPS is doing because I assume they already have the results also since it's the same company sending back the results. A friend said I shouldn't expect the results until late January at the earliest.

I think our letter had conflicting information. It said in a few weeks but also said January! I figure late January would be a safe bet.

I think they deliberately take their time sending back results-clearly, for an October test, they should easily have the resuls by now! The county just takes their sweet time figuring out benchmarks and notifying the base schools who is in the pool or not-and they only want to allow about a week for parents to be able to refer if kid not in pool-but don't think for a second those scores haven't been processed a long time ago!

Thank you, Oliver Stone.

I no longer live in Fairfax County and my daughter took NNAT in October. We got the results back weeks ago - early December, I believe.

Other school systems that administered the test at the same time have sent the results to parents . Clearly Fairfax County has had the results for at least a month now and likely won't send the results home for at least another few weeks. They could have sent the results home when they received them and then post the in pool benchmarks once they determine them. Their decision not to do so adds to the AAP frenzy. Just release the result instead of creating the anticipation frenzy.

It is not a plot by FCPS. You give them too much credit.

Then they are completely inefficient. It's not that hard to mail out the results when you get them. Other school systems seem to manage it. Maybe you are the one giving them too much credit.

But I thought AAP appeals are due Jan 15. How can you appeal by Jan 15 if you don't receive your decision until Feb?

My last two kids didn't get pool letters till the end of January.

PP here- I believe appeals are for the kids in rising grade 4-6 who are applying to go to level four instruction. This has nothing to do with rising third graders.
