What do you wear with your basic uggs?

Looking for advice. . .tucked in jeans? I have the basic medium tan Uggs given to me as a gift that are not super tall, half way up the shin I guess.

A bag over my head.

No clue. I was thinking of getting some for myself this year, but like you, don't know what they "go" with, if anything.

Either straight jeans tucked in or bootcut jeans over. I have lots of Uggs and I see them with skinny jeans or leggings which look cute but that doesn't work for my body.

I pair the jeans with a turtleneck sweater and a cute scarf. That's my winter uniform.

At home with my PJ's. Out in public? No.

But they are warm and comfy!

To the PP - you have $100+ shoes that you won't wear in public? Were they a gift?

I personally think Uggs are "Uggly" - but then again I have Dansko clogs that I love but I realize that they are "ugly" to fashionable people. I admit that Danskos are not the cutest, but they are comfy and better than Uggs IMO.

13:20 here.

The Uggs were a gift from my mom (well-intentioned, but...)

And I had the Dansko's too....and yes. Quite ugly. Instantly put me into mom mode, but didn't care. Had to let them go b/c my ankle would turn in them.

Trying to do more fashion sneaks these days...I find when my footwear is not so great, I feel slumpy. Weird right?

You can send me the Uggs--we moved to Colorado and was 5 degrees when I did the preschool run at noon today. I'm already ridiculous looking in my winter maternity wear, so no worries!

I think there's a certain comfy cool to Uggs with skinny jeans tucked into them... BUT I realize the Ugg trend hit... what... 5 years ago? That automatically rules them out now.

If you are looking for comfort, Ugg makes incredibly comfortable loafers/driving moccasins. They're warm and cozy the way I presume the boots are, but they don't scream out "fuzzy circa 2003" the way the boots do.

OK, so what do people like to wear for footwear in the winter. . . . I seem to think Uggs are a bit like a fashion staple now, not just a trend, perhaps I am totally off base.

Nice boots, flat or with a wedge. Flats. These kind of hybrid shoes, half flat, half sneaker.

Whatever you do, no running shoes with jeans. THE WORST.

Not a fashion staple.

Neither is a Juicy Couture sweatsuit.

LOL - my 2 favorite things are my Juicy sweatsuit and Uggs - both are hideous but are SO damn comfy!

I had to laugh about the Juicy sweatsuits. It reminded of something which happened recently while at Nordstrom. First all, let me say I am a plus size woman. THe sales lady was so excited to tell me they were getting in plus size juicy. I looked at her and said why on earth would i put something on which was just going to allow my fat to wiggle and make my ass look bigger? She said, " Well it is fashionable." I said yeah if I was 15. Good lord...these people will try to sell anything to anyone no matter what their size.....so no juicy and no uggs...
