What do you wear with your basic uggs?

Anonymous
UGG wearer here who wore them before they were fashionable and will wear them forever. I wear mine with leggings or jeans and a sweater. I could care less what people think of my shoes as I pick up or drop off my kids at school. For comfort and warmth in the winter, there is no comparison.

I also have a pair of UGG riding boots that are black leather with a wooden heel and shearling lined. So warm and comfy.

So now I'm feeling bad. I never got into Uggs until I saw a pair of knitted sweatery ones in pink 2 weeks ago. I had to have them.

Now I'm worried that I'm terribly '03 and uncool, even though I think they're cute. If I wear them with 7's or Joe's Jeans, can I redeem myself? Or do I have to put them on with my PJs and shuffle around the house with a bag over my head?

The knit ones are a newer version so, from a fashion-time-era-sense you are fine. I personally think the knit ones are awful looking but why the heck should you care what I think? This whole "Uggs are ugly/out-dated/trendy bit"... so deserves a "whatever"!! They are comfy, warm boots and boots will never be out of fashion. If you are wearing Uggs in particular to be "in," well, that's not happening but, if you are wearing them for a nice warm winter boot than you are doing just fine... I wouldnt ever call them a "fashion" staple but they certainly are a winter staple, they are winter boots. The trendiest thing was to wear them in summer with shorts anyway. As for Juicy sweats, I would never wear anything that put a word across my *ss so I can even participate in that discussion! hahaha

Agreed. Uggs were trendy, then passe, and now just whatever. Same with Juicy sweatshirts (as long as you're not wearing the whole suit). Let's face it, neither of them were exactly couture to start with! And btw, I sort of love running shoes with jeans--in a so bad it's kind of good kind of way. The one thing I really can't stand though is white sneakers with jeans and a black leather jacket on a guy. YUCK.

OMG!!! You are so spot on!!! That is the ultimate awful guy look!!!!! 8)

I actually do not like sneakers and jeans but think the stylized sneaker/flat/strappy-yoga-shoe-thingies look cute with jeans.

Yes, PP. NOT RUNNING SHOES though. Horrible. Reminds me of where I grew up (not good).
