Reminds me of a low security prison.

| I kind of like it from the outside, but the interior is too cold for my tastes, even for a contemporary. It seems like the house for a skinny couple from Europe with pointy glasses and no kids. |
| Weird chintzy table in the marble foyer with plastic flowers. |
| I rather like it, although if I had been the architect, I would have added more windows and patio doors. |
| I think it's pretty neat from the outside, but I don't think I'd spend $2.2M in South Arlington. (though that's just about the best 'hood down there.) |
| a face only an architect would love |
|
I don't think it's attractive. The architect should be ashamed of herself for designing such a monstrosity. However, if you look around at all the ugly mcmansions in the world, you'll have to keep your eyes closed when driving through pretty much any subdivision these days and most suburbs that are plagued with tear-downs.
The interior is hideous. The house looks like it's designed for robots. Who can live in such ugliness? Every family I know who lives in houses like this ends up actually living in the smallest, coziest rooms in the house, venturing out into the ktichen for entertaining only, and then moving back to the basement where it's comfortable or to the smallest "den" in the house. It's all show and no life. Just wear your income emblazoned in neon on your back and be done with it. Much better for the environment than showing your wealth through these environmentally unfriendly houses that no one can actually live in. Yetch. I'll go back to my warm, cozy, inviting house now where we all feel comfortable. When I need to entertain a few hundred of my closest friends, I'll rent a mcmansion or a hotel ballroom. |
| Needs color. |
| It might be the perfect house to fend off a zombie attack. You could pick off walkers from each of the balconies. |
Wow, so judgmental. This reads like one of those "my daddy built brick houses" posts. |
|
I actually really like, but I work in criminal justice and I've worked in prisons.
Hmmmm. |
| i liked the outside, but i don't like the inside at all. looks like a mish-mash of (high end) finishes. |
| I didn't look at the inside pictures, but I'd pick that exterior over yet another wannabe-Arts and Crafts, which seems to be the developer obsession in my neighborhood. And at least the stone facing appears to wrap all the way around, unlike the houses with fancy fronts and cheap siding. |
|
I kind of like it. Not sure about the neighborhood though, seems a little sketchy with that big highway nearby.
Then again, I am European -- if not particularly skinny. |
| Better in person but still cold and odd. Neighborhood gets those prices but for traditional houses. Not everyone wants to live in a North Arlington crafty bastard |
