Landon fans bragging about beating EHS, SSSA, and STA like it's 2022. Newsflash: None of those teams have winning records in 2024. Landon went 4-2 against teams with winning records. Beat Highland Park, Prep, Bullis, and Gonzaga. Lost to St. Paul's and Haverford.

Between GC, GZ, SJC, and DM, any one of these teams has enough talent and coaching to hoist the WCAC trophy.

Of course, the usual suspects, GZ and SJC will be the favorites to meet again in the title game but don't sleep on DeMatha who is peaking at the right time of year, or even GC.

As for the IAC, the bottom half of the league (STA, EHS, SSSA) I don't ever recall in the league's history the caliber of lacrosse being this poor. Just a year ago, EHS was competing for a State Championship in the VISAA, and STA knocked off Bullis. Saint Stephens historically has always been competitive with Landon, GP, and Bullis in the past 15 years.

I saw on a previous post that Landon was up 16-0 at halftime against EHS...

Was GZ in the title game last year? Thought they lost in the quarters

GP 13 Bullis 11 final

Prep had 3 best players on field. Better coached. More disciplined/team style approach. Defense swallowed up Bullis Penn commit. Villanova commit played him head up and won the battle. Game wasn’t as close as final score. Prep studs on offense were studs, scoring in multiple fashion. Goalie played better than in precious games.

Bullis has not improved since I saw them earlier in year. Same selfish, hero ball on offense. No flow. Bellistri is stubborn, man. Still playin guys to get them recruited. Desperately needs someone who can coach an offense and run a box. 3 pole goals on poor subbing. Then coaches got a 2 min full time penalty for complaining to refs. No discipline. Pretty embarrassing. Typical JB.

No connection to DM but always been a fan of their athletic program. Was worried about their lacrosse program but glad to hear they are battling. Good things will come.

Typical JB when he won like 3 out of 4 IAC championships? Anonymous forum good place for a coward to handle their personal gripes.

Embarrassing? Really? We’re talking about 16 and 17 year old kids playing a game.

St. John's has 3 wins against teams with a winning record: Good Counsel, Paul VI, Taft (6-5).

Doesn't matter. Rematch next week.

Who said Landon is bragging about beating episcopal? This EHS team is far from the team we saw in 2023.

Something tells me if they were to play Saint Paul’s again they’d likely win by 6+ goals too.

I did some digging into this from Inside Lacrosse.

Landon has 7 wins against programs with winning records (GP, Bullis, Gonzaga, Cardinal Gibbons from NC, Allen Texas, Episcopal Dallas, Highland Park Texas)

Gonzaga has 6 wins with teams with winning records (Prep, Bullis, PVI, GC, Tampa Jesuit, Plant from Tampa)

Bullis has 5 wins with teams with a winning record (St James, Spalding, Chestnut Hill, Gibbons from NC, Worthington Kilbourne Ohio)

Prep has 4 wins against teams with a winning record (Rockhurst Jesuit from Kansas, St James, Don Bosco from New Jersey, Bullis)

GC has 4 wins against teams with a winning record (PVI, Bolles from Florida, Rockhurst Jesuit from Kansas, STAB)

SJC has 3 wins against teams with a winning record (GC, PVI, Taft)

DeMatha has a 7-7 record... I did not include them on this list.

This Landon team is undoubtedly one of the best all time in hypothetical matchups. Their ability to blow out opponents in imaginary games that already beat them in real life is unmatched.
