10 days to look good!

Anonymous
I don't usually do fad diets but I have an event coming up in 10 days and I really want to look my best. It has been a stressful month and I've been eating poorly and don't look my best. I don't need to lose a lot of weight, maybe just 2 pounds but I would like to help get rid of some of the flabbiness. I am slim but definitely have a muffin top and feel skinny fat. Any tips for what I can do short term to look and feel my best? Thanks!

Don't know about you, but if I haven't been working out, even one or two regular work-outs in a week make a big difference in how I feel and look.

1. Two 30-60 min workouts a day, one am & one pm. Take every 4th day off

2. No carbs or starchy vegs, or sugar or booze

3. Get lots of sleep

4. Drink as much water as you can, until day of event

This plus watch your salt. It causes water retention.

+2. No fast food, minimal processing. Eat as close to paleo as you can, and keep up the water. You'll drop a lot (okay, couple pounds) of water weight.

Hate to break it to you but you will have a muffin top even if you loose the 2 pounds. I lost my pregnancy weight and still have the muffin top. The only way it goes is if you get a tummy tuck.

Buy an outfit that actually fits your body shape well. That will give you a boost of confidence. (That and Spanx.)

Surgery is not required but lots and lots of cardio and weight bearing exercise over months not days. Agree with above and spanx that fit to smooth you. I like the really thin spanx. Nordstrom.

So did it work?

OP here, yes, it did! I also realized that I feel so much better when I limit my sugar intake and eat healthier. The tricky part is just finding the time to meal plan to prevent last minute bad food choices.

If you crash diet and over-exercise, I guarantee you'll look haggard and sound exhausted. In fact, you might catch cold or flu, and really look bad. Think.
