Go to a hispanic neighborhood and find a little old lady selling them out of a shopping cart.

Oh lord. You can't figure that out?

In DC, you can find them (little old ladies) in Mt Pleasant and Columbia Heights. The best.

There is sometimes a tamale cart by the Home Depot at 7 Corners. Also, across on 50 from there, by the CVS is another tamale cart.

La Union in Arlington on Wilson has excellent tamales.

I think Ballston at lunchtime has a lot of lunch carts on the sidewalks - I'm sure there's a tamale there.

Rio Grande has disgusting tamales. I wouldn't eat the ones from Costco either. Not when you taste those crafted by a real latina!

My cleanimg lady makes them once a month and sells them. They are are off the hook.

Where are you located? The only other acceptable place is in Leesburg next to the Goodwill...the place lools awful, but the tamales are frwsh amd homemade.

Whomever said Costco and Rio...seriously??? Blech. White peoples food. Nasty and inauthentic.

Find a church with a big Hispanic population. I'm sure the church ladies are selling them for a fundraiser.

The one I know of is the one just west of the Clarendon metro, but you must be able to find one near you.

Or you could try an Hispanic grocery, like Mega Mart.

You must not know any Hispanic women. These is always one in a large family who is the best at making them and sells them.

Also tex mex sucks.
