I always remember the story of when she made a huge deal in front of her kids about how Brandon would ruin Christmas if her bought her pots and pans because that would be an awful and insulting gift. And then, he took out the gift of the very expensive (probably chef quality) copper pans he bought out from under the tree and just put them in the cupboard “for free” and had to re-buy her a probably fancy and expensive other gift when she had previously made a big deal about how she wanted the pans anyways, and he had thought it was the “perfect” thing she wanted. First of all, if she wanted it, why did she act like the expensive thing he did was stupid and insulting? Secondly, who goes around acting so callous when someone tries hard to give you something? This was in 2016. It’s easy to see why he probably withdrew. On top of the other obvious reasons already listed here, it is pretty clear even within her own family, she would rant and throw emotional jabs if she wasn’t appreciated or given what she thought was her due.

Wow you’re right. They’re tired of being sold to.

Her recent post on “everyone is suffering right now” rings hollow.

Jen has compared her "sufferings" pre-divorce to those of Jesus. She even preached about "her" Good Friday. If that doesn't say narcissism, I don't know what qualifies.

She tells herself she is helping people and this blinds her to her narcissism and other personality pitfalls.
I have an ex-SIL who was very similar...every interaction feels like a pitch or a transaction. Everything is a competition, even family games. And every random person is suddenly a "friend" even though their real "friends" are watching their kids or grandkids and being supportive behind the scenes.

It’s not that her post on suffering isn’t technically true…though if a person is being awful for a long time or as a new trait there’s actually not an excuse for that because other people matter…I was wondering if she was trying to say that’s fine in your personal life or not. Anyways…

It’s that her post in contrast to everything else she says seems insincere.

Further - I don’t need you to tell me what suffering is and that other people suffer. Many are already aware of that on their own because they’re more in tune with themselves and others and themselves than her. It may come across as insightful or aw okay thanks for the reminder if I randomly read it from someone else lol. But no regard for COVID lockdowns, constant expensive trips, lying about how the best and most wonderful everything and everyone in her life is, probably not.

It also comes across like hey you’re my tribe and I’m you’re tribe leader let me impart you my wisdom so you can have it to. Her calling it “our little corner of the internet” “this tribe “my tribe” has always been too much and too weird. And of course her little corner of the internet is filled with? You guessed it…the best kind of people on the planet, the best you’ll find anywhere!

Holy smokes! I'm sure it won't be up for long, but certainly long enough to be seen by the minions. It is a little too well-worded to be a drunk post.

Oh please. Yeah, they aren’t in cahoots on this or anything. 🙄 Maybe he gets a 1% cut.

I think she did the hair tutorial to show off her bathroom renovation. There were many many MANY other ways to do this rather than stand awkwardly behind a sink. She has a friend there…why not video her as she looks in the mirror? Oh, because then she can’t humblebrag. (And that’s is a $$$$ faucet)

Do yall follow Jackie Hill Perry? She recommended a book called "When Narcissm Comes to Church" and she shared a quote from the book (on her IG) that made me think of Jen/us/the minions that the narcissist and their audience and that there is a mutually beneficial relationship there. It sounded interesting and I thought it would even be fun to read it with yall hahaha #JensOtherBookClub

I honestly think many of her followers on Instagram are fake. I’ve seen this happen and here’s an example. Recently, a plastic surgeon in our/my area decided to start her own private practice. I watched her presence on Instagram transform over nothing to over 100k followers before she even opened her new practice! She had a great marketing person posting before/after photos and catchy music, but I’m 100% sure the followers were fake. I was watching, and each day they increased by thousands. And now she’s saying “guys, it will be months before you can get an appointment bc I’m so booked, so you better call now”….AND SHE HASN’T OPENED YET. It’s all smoke and mirrors, and she’s fooling everyone. Every week or so she does a “thank you for 10,000 more followers” or whatever, but then deletes it so no one can see how quickly it’s happening. So, all the comments are fake too. It’s hard to be someone like me who sees through everyone’s bullshit. I have very few friends left in life. Lol.

Oh that's weird. I see that brandon comment, and it sounds very positive. I thought it was sarcastic at first, but it's not. 'this is so important! You've always been so great with content. I hope you'll share some of the decisions that went into monetizing your impact and how you transitioned from information & influence to creating sustainable income to increase your influence and sustainability. Such an important part of your success."
