I believe it had to be a dig at Blake. She should have taken it further.

Please elaborate.

So... you've never seen that bit before? And what does that have to do with Lively? Baldoni didn't call her pregnant, plus she wasn't pregnant.

I think they know that there will never be an actual case, there will probably be a huge settlement at sometime in the next few months. There’s just no way they want to go to trial like Johnny and Amber. And I think they are now trying to work to change their image and make it a blemish instead of defining moments in their career.

The thing is, I think it will work to a degree. I don’t really think there’s such a thing as canceling unless you are someone like Harvey Weinstein who have decades of actual rape under your belt. Most people are able to make it back. But I don’t think they’re ever going to be able to return to what they used to be able to do with the silly banter and “we’re just like you! So relatable!” We’ve now seen too much behind the curtains.

Hollywood may not care, foul behavior runs rampant amongst ‘elites’ anyhow. However, Blake was not exactly a highly sought after actress prior to all of this. She has the confidence and arrogance to come back from this, in her own mind, but I don’t see her working much from this point on. Unless she creates something on her own.

What is interesting to me that people are also glossing over is that Blake’s last movie prior to it ends with us was 2020s the rhythm section, which has gone down as the biggest bomb in film history of a movie playing in 3000 theaters. I’m sure there are other bigger bombs, but that one has the distinction of bombing the most in a 3000 theater run.

The thing is most critics agreed that Blake’s performance was fine with even some praising it. But the film was highly anticipated because of the highly respected director and the producers, apparently Blake and the director wanted a different vision than the producers and it was also plagued with a lot of tension and disagreement. Ultimately in this case, the movie suffered for it with the studio losing a ton of money. They also had to shut down for six months because Blake broke her knuckle. I don’t know much about a broken knuckle, but six months seems a long time to shut down a film. And then because the test audience hated so much it got delayed till January 2020 when it finally just bombed.

It ends with us with Blake’s big return and now this? Yeah I don’t see her really coming back as an actress from this. But she will probably continue to be Taylor’s friend and do a lot of red carpet appearances.

Not sure where you get that from this article, which shows both positive and negative comments re Lively and Reynolds. Seems like you are just stating your own opinion and then posting random links which do not support it. Be well.

This thread is so stupid. People really spending their Monday trawling PageSix and gossip sites.

They are getting blasted all over SM and the press. Don’t criticize how people spend their time when you are spending your Monday in this thread.

I think Cecily was holding back a little because Blake and Ryan were right there in the audience. Cecily could have mocked that entire disastrous interview with the journalist, it would have been hilarious.

Now that would have been funny.

So... you've never seen that bit before? And what does that have to do with Lively? Baldoni didn't call her pregnant, plus she wasn't pregnant.

No. The one last night.

It's a bit Cecily used to do a lot when she was on the show. Probably her most famous SNL bit. The joke is that the character is drunk and makes no sense. It is not a "dig" at Lively or the Baldoni business. It doesn't even make sense as a joke about that.

Last night was choreographed signal they are eager to settle this and “put a lid” on the lawsuit and all the drama surrounding it. It’s ensnared too many heavy weights, including Ryan, Ari and Taylor Swift. Hehe we’re laughing about it, it’s old news, just a joke… *offers $50 million cash to Justin and Ari is horse trading with Justin’s new management to resurrect his career and image they tried to destroy*

Yep, I’ve seen that bit plenty of times. It’s not at all about a pregnant woman though. So this was new and they didn’t have to include it. It has nothing to do with Baldoni, it has to do with the little baby bump interview. Google it.

I do not think they are going to give Baldoni a dime.

Folks it has nothing to do with Baldoni, it’s a little baby bump interview. Keep up.

At this point, it doesn’t even matter if it’s intentional. Enough commoners have picked up on it that it’s gaining traction whether they meant it or not people are connecting it.

Well, it was quite appropriate as it mirrored Blake’s nonsensical pregnancy interview.

Shame on SNL for letting Ryan make that joke. LOL, oops, sorry we fabricated sexual harassment claims to smear a man as a de facto rapist in the media to ruin his life and get him blackballed in Hollywood.

Too bad it does not work. We still can’t stand them and they’re rightfully still getting dragged on social media and TikTok.

There is no coming back from this. They are evil.
