| the most intriguing theory I read about her -- a reddit theory -- is that she is on the autism spectrum, and the "obsession" that she has is boyfriends and relationships. She puts an absolutely insane amount of effort into analyzing boyfriends and relationships, like a typical autistic boy with dinosaurs or something. |
| Her father played football at U of Hawaii or somewhere. Her dad was and is a hyper successful "guys guy" (financ) and she likely is attracted to that type of masculinity (IE: stereotypical) |
She just seems stunted to me, like a teenager. It's sort of fascinating: how does she have all these houses with staff? How does she manage anything really? Does she even ever grocery shop, pay a bill? |
| It’s hilarious the entire Hollywood and Madison Ave apparatus is trying to make this cringe machine the next The Rock or Chris Pratt. He has zero charisma. They are trying to force this bozo on us but nothing about him is endearing. |
I mean... and what exactly is she supposed to do about this? Change her body type? This is what she looks like. She's a tall, willowy, sort of generically pretty blonde. |
| I predict she is spotted by paps lurking around Europe with the hot British ex. She’ll have a baby with the hot Brit, not this dummy. |
Nah, she wants some high profile dude and doesn't like nice men. |
This is about the least intriguing thing I've ever read. |
(1) She collaborates on most of her music, so it's actually hard to know exactly what she writes and doesn't. It's generally agreed that she doesn't write most of the actual music -- maybe a melody here and there, but her producers and sound engineer deserve a lot of credit on the music (which she gives them). Even with lyrics, she collaborates a lot and many of her best songs are co-written. (2) She has a handful of songs where the lyrics could stand alone as intellectually interesting. Anti-hero is one example. Most of her music, if you look at the lyrics separately from their produced version, they would not stand alone as literary work. This is true of most pop music, so this isn't a slight against Swift. (3) There are a huge list of female writers to be impressed by, I have no idea why you pulled out Dylan and Capote as references here, extremely random. I mostly listen to music written and produced by women, and I mostly read literature written by women. Perhaps that's why I don't fall all over myself about Swift -- I already know of a bunch of amazing female writers so it's not impressive to me to simply be female while writing well. |
What? Or it’s two people that are in love. |
This is dumb. Who knows if she’s on the spectrum but she doesn’t have an “obsession” with boyfriends, it’s just great material for songwriting- especially if your primary audience is young women. |
I think it's odd she keeps talking about feminism and female empowerment yet writes mostly cliche shit about men. |
| Does TAYLOR SWIFT have straight guy appeal? |
