Google savory oatmeal rosemary cookies. I saw them once online and am just waiting for the opportunity to try them with blue cheese schmeared on top.

Savory dessert is an oxymoron. Are you looking for desserts that incorporate ingredients that are normally found in savory foods? If so, cardamom, rosemary, bacon are a few of my favorites.

Savory is the opposite of sweet. So that wouldn't be dessert, would it? I think you should contact your hostess to clarify what she has in mind.
