| I have had rosemary shortbread and it is delicious. You could also make cheese straws and maybe put a little maple candied bacon in them? Alternatively you could put a piece of bacon on any other dessert and claim it to be savory. |

Agree with PP who mentioned cardamom.
They do contain sugar, but are not really sweet. You could try halving the sugar and upping the cardamom if you want more contrast. http://www.landolakes.com/recipe/1358/browned-butter-cardamom-cookies |
| Foie gras macarons? |

What's sad about cheese? I'm rarely happier than when I'm in front of a well done cheese plate. (Now a lame cheese plate -- that is sad.)
The rosemary oat cookies with blue cheese schmear do sound fabulous, though. |
Candied brussels sprouts?
|
with bacon bits and a maple glaze, maybe!

Brussel Pops! Yum. |

Cheese is a standard French dessert.
A cheese plate that includes some yummy jams to combine with cheeses like a Stilton ..... Doesn't get better than that. If you want to sweeten it up, add something like an English digestive biscuit, which is a little nutty and slightly sweet. Also delicious with a medium strong cheese. Never thought I'd like cheese and jam, but that is a great combination . |
| Salted caramel or chocolate with sea salt |
| Bobby Flay has a recipe online somewhere for a bacon cheddar savory shortbread. Excellent with dry red wine |
Cheese as dessert? Super sad. I do not want a bunch of cheese with some fig jam. I will take the flourless chocolate cake with ice cream, thank you very much and you can take your faux-dessert and make a grilled cheese. |
| Clearly you've only experienced the lame cheese plates. |
Nope. Had lots of good cheese plates. But they are totally lame a dessert. |

I've made this for my husband who doesn't like sweets. It's a chocolate bourbon chocolate cake. Smoky and spicy. |
| Pardon, I meant chili chocolate bourbon cake! |
