What are the Trendy jeans for Teens? Apparently, I know zip

Anonymous
My daughter will be 14 next week and has
Asked for a pair or two of popular/trendy jeans.
She said no gap jeans.
So, what are the "cool" brands these days?
Is it still 7 for all mankind or true religion or are those as outdated as
Gloria Vanderbilt or Jordash?

Why don't you ask her what brands she likes?

I've led her to believe that she won't be getting a pair. I like
Giving my kids a happy surprise. She knows that I think these pricey jeans are ridiculous... She made first honors this quarter, so, I'm going to budge a bit and she'll out the cash.
She'll be thrilled.

Go to Nordstrom and ask the sales girls in the juniors section, it's called brass plum. They can point you in the right direction, if they end up not being DDs style you can easily return and let her pick out something different .

It's really hard to buy jeans for someone without them being able to try them on. Maybe a surprise shopping trip?

My 14 year old DD is currently into Abercrombie jeans. She spends her babysitting money on these jeans. Beware...the jeans are worn super tight, just like Jordache back in the day!

Ha! Loved the Jordache reference in your post.

Slightly off topic but it always makes me laugh when moms freak out over tweens/teens wanting tight jeans , I always think did you never own a pair of jordache?! Now those were some tight jeans, I remember having to lay down to zip them up! Haha

I had to lay down to zip up my Farlows.

Gap is frowned upon? I guess I'm out of touch too...

Order a bunch from Zappos or Nordstom - tell her she can keep 1.

Seven for all mankind, jbrand, citizens, or even madewell (owned by jcrew)- they have a store in Montgomery mall- they are making great jeans

But at least the tight jeans we wore covered everything. Today the rise looks like it's about 3 inches. Girls cannot bend over to pick up something without risking indecent exposure. And the denim seems thinner than what we wore and seems to mold itself everywhere.

Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle. Super skinny dark wash. Tight but stretchy. Not jeggings. All those stores have generous return policies and are on sale now.
