As it was explained in the pregame show, Americans love to see people win, but once they start winning "too much", we turn on the person. That goes for athletes and celebrities as a whole, and friends/colleagues on a granular level.
+1, this is why most people correctly hate Tom Brady and the Brady-Belichick era Patriots. For instance, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Eli Manning for no other reason than that his Giants teams beat the Patriots twice at the Superbowl and kept Brady et al from two more rings. And the fact that Brady was married to Gisele, a certified super model, and they both seemed to know they were beautiful and perfect -- people haaaated them. Patriots fans liked Brady, and he had allure for a certain brand of alpha-bro who says things like "I just like winners" at dinner parties, but most people hated them.
Taylor/Travis are the new Tom/Gisele and this will automatically make people dislike them and pick apart everything they say and do. It's just the way of things, I don't even think it's personal. We build people up and then we tear them down. Natural cycle of celebrity.
Except Travis is no Tom Brady and TS is no Gisele (looks wise. Of course she’s wildly more successful professionally)
I actually think Taylor and Gisele have a ton of professional similarities in terms of their careers and the level of domination they are/were at when they met their NFL significant others. Taylor has more money, but she's at a similar level in the music industry to what Gisele was at in the modeling industry at the time.
But Taylor should take a look at Gisele -- like Shakira, Gisele backburnered her career in order to be the supportive wife for Brady's career and raise their kids. She left a ton of money on the table to make herself secondary to him. And look how that turned out.
Sometimes successful women are drawn to men with huge egos, and these men often look at these beautiful, accomplished women as the ultimate trophy. But once they have that trophy... they just want more trophies. They are living out a childhood fantasy, it's not true love. Tom Brady's first and only love is himself, and this is likely true for Kelce too.
