Annoying moms

Anonymous
Moms who work as energy or "environmental" lawyers - defending polluters all day and helping huge corporations get around environmental laws. Then they claim to vote for Howard Dean and only let their children eat vegan and lecture people who aren't as "liberal" as them!

Anonymous
Oh, and moms who claim to make ALL their own baby food.

this is a pretty negative and pathetic thread but will admit it's cheap entertainment

A station wagon my foot. You have obviously never seen a Nissan Quest. It looks like a submarine!

Not PP, but I just took a look at one, and it may be long, but the front end looks like a car's, and the whole thing looks like it's built a on a car base. As I understand it, the problem with SUVs in crashes with cars is that the weight of the SUV is so high up. So it hits a car at a more vulnerable point than another car would.[/quote

They are built on the chaise of a station wagon. They are a bit higher, but the wheel base is the same as a station wagon, and so is the length.

I think a Quest is now considered a CUV, but I would be wrong.

I get annoyed with the mom who has wild kids in her car, unbuckled, going 70mph on the beltway, then won't let anyone in her lane, as the other lane ends.

I don't know what a CUV is and i am sure you are right about them being built on the chaise (whatever that is) of a station wagon but those quests amd similar size cars look like mini houses to me - far vaster than station wagons - both inside and out. i can never see around them and they drive me nuts.

CUV= Cross over Utility Vehicle. Half car- half SUV.

Oh, and a chaise is the frame on which a car is built.

The Scion xB is built on the same frame as the Toyota Echo. Big difference in the look of the car, but same frame.

Moms who say "mine will just have water" and give you a sanctimonious look when you have just agreed yours can have juice.

I have to say I think SUVs are great too - they let you know who the a$$holes are without having to waste time in conversation to find out.

Moms who are pathetically full of themselves and think that they are smarter than the rest of the world, because they have more than one degree. Yet, they often only speak one language, and never waste a single thought on the fact that English may not be everyboidy's native language, unless it is obvious, of course.

Sorry, but I find this insulting as well.

oh and if I could edit my post I would correct my typo, just to please you.

I thought we were done with the spelling police when Amy was banned.

I got so comfortable not having to think about every word I typed being criticised and now I'm worried again!

Positive point #1 about this thread: That some clearly mentally ill people can use the internet to let off steam and not let it build up and explode on some innocent by stander.
Posiitive Point #2: It's cheaper than therapy, just not as effective.
