I thought he broke up with Meri and Janelle, now Christine is leaving too?

Meri and Janelle have not left the family. But they apparently have a platonic marriage.

I understand that Kody just isn't into Meri anymore but him using the excuse that the marriage cannot be fixed because Meri had an emotional affair with someone who didn't even exist is such BS. He gets his nose bent out of joint because of a catfishing scheme yet she's accepted that he's been banging three other women for decades? He's treated her like dirt for years--maybe look at yourself first Kody. Who can blame Meri for wanting some emotional support elsewhere. He claims to be a feminist but then says Robyn is the "good sister wife". He's such trash. I can't stand Robyn but even she should dump his sorry ass. Good for Christine for showing her girls what a man should look like (and not look like).

They should just promote Gabe to the head of the family.

Well, first, I just want to put out a disclaimer that I really dislike Kody, agree he is a misogynist, and after his abandonment of Ysabel I don't even think he's a good father anymore; and while it has not always been the case I dislike Robin a lot too these days.

That said I think the Meri issue is much more a general problem with polygamy than Kody and Meri specifically. Meri didn't really want a plural marriage, she talks about this in the early seasons. She wasn't totally signing on for plural marriage when they got married. And she was never happy. They ALL talk about how when they all lived together they were all at each other's throats. And Meri in particular was jealous and mean. So by the time they were on camera, their marriage had already really eroded. All magnified by Meri's secondary infertility while all these other wives were poppin out the kids. And then remagnified when Mariah left and Meri was, surreally, an empty nester in a family full of young children. Any one of these issues could break a marriage, and that is the problem. Their marriage was broken, by a lot of perfectly reasonable things, but divorce didn't seem like an option to either of them, so instead they just lived in perpetual misery. Then the catfishing thing happened which honestly again, its perfectly reasonable for an emotional affair to end a marriage, but they couldn't end it! So its just a cycle of their relationship breaking down more and more and no one ever feeling like they could pull the trigger. I don't think what happened with Meri and Kody is all Meri's fault or all Kody's fault, but at the end of the day its a deep failure of polygamy that these two deeply unhappy unconnected people are chained to each other.

As for Gabe, I think his perspective is fairly immature he is just looking reasonable when compared to the deep insanity of his dad. The reality is Gabe and Garrison really were essentially saying that seeing family was not important enough to follow the rules and both put out just lying about their compliance as a solution. Kody CAUSED the problem by having uneven rules that were not enforced equitably and by abandoning his kids during COVID, but Gabe behaved like a kid, which is what he is! And so it isn't really a criticism, but I'm not buying the hero worship of Gabe's position. I will say he was a brave brave kid who is growing into what will be a great man and I thought the way he expressed his feelings to Kody was adult, mature, and heartbreaking though. Basically I'm not trying to criticize Gabe, I think he's acting age appropriately in some ways and very maturely in others, just that its not that he's perfect, just that Kody is a walking man child.

Completely agree with your Gabe analysis

Gabe was also forced to move away from Utah to Flagstaff, which was very hard for him. And now he can’t see his own father. Poor Gabe.

I think Gabe has a good head on his shoulders. Of course he is still young, but he understands way more than his Dad.

I love how Garrison said if mom got sick, “I would freaking quit my job to help her.” Janelle raised some wonderful sons.

She has obviously been there for them and thus inspires that kind of devotion. Christine was also like a second mother to the older Brown children and they feel close to her.

Kody is a train wreck.

It’s the Kody and Robyn show.

Does anyone think something is wrong with Aurora? She’s very emotionally immature, crying all the time. Please get her some help!

I haven't watched in years, but what ever happened to Logan? He always seemed like a good kid. Is he still on the show or did he escape the craziness?

If everyone else leaves, wonder how Robyn will handle not being able to compare herself and feel superior to everyone else? Hard to be queen of the hill if the hill no longer exists.

And is she secretly cringing at the idea at the thought of being the only one having to deal with Kody 24/7?

I think she is probably delayed due to so much of her being in lockdown with no peer to peer interaction.

Logan refuses to be on the show. He is frequently there for family gatherings, but out of the shot.
