| I know LOTS of Sidwell kids who have gone to Mrs Simpsons. |
| Is the Capital Cotillion more diverse than Mrs. Simpson's? |
|
This is probably red meat for you DCUM sharks. But it is a serious question. Do Landon boys go to the Capital Cotillion or Mrs. Simpson's?
Here's the less than serious question, but I am still curious - did Huguely go to to any of these Cotillions? |
| Landon Boys (usually about half the class in 4th grade, many fewer as they get older the boys lose interest fairly quickly) go to Mrs.Simpson's. Since Mrs.Simpson's starts in 4th grade and most boys drop out in 8th grade, he would have been at Mater Dei not Landon if he went. |
You must not be from Texas. |
Really? But was it fun when you participated? |
I never cease to be amused by reformed elitists. God forbid they just state their opinion without mentioning their pedigree. |
| If you did not get an invitation, is it considered bad form to contact them to enroll? |
. Call them and ask. They will send off an invite. |
| We enrolled our son in the All Boys Manners class at Tea with Mrs. B in Bethesda and he loved it. This was to both my wife and my surprise. He is begging to go back. They resume normal class schedule in September. She's a neat lady and seems to captivate the boys attention and interest well. |
Does she have a website? If so, can you post it? |
I know this post is ancient, but I'm wondering the same thing. I attended the beauvior cotillion as well as the Catholic/independent one at Visi back in the day. Both were taught by the same gentleman and his daughters. |
| If you decline an invitation one year, will they re-invite you the following year? |
It's a business. They'll try a few times, or you contact them and request an invitation. |
It used to be Miss Shippen's - I think it did meet at Beauvoir. |
