Anybody else think this this is the GZ HC's disinformation campaign to get all the recent heat off of him? King was getting all the static in this forum until the focus turned to SJC (a GZ rival). All the dots are lining up.

Think that's maybe presuming a little too much about the impact and reach of DCUM forums.

Back to Lacrosse. Tomorrow, NHSLS White:

PVI vs: Calvert Hall, Delbarton, Broadneck

Landon: Ridgewood, Culver, St. Thomas Aquinas

GC: Upper Arlington, Fog City, Ridgewood

PVI has a brutal lineup against Calvert Hall and Delbarton, the Panthers should thump Broadneck.

Landon also has a tough draw with Culver adn St. Thomas Acquinas from Florida. Don't know much about Ridgewood.

Good Counsel has a more favorable draw tomorrow with Upper Arlington, Ridgewood and St Ignatius ("Fog City".

Perhaps the Falcons make it out of group play and into the winners bracket. I don't see PVI or Landon getting out of group play.

Ridgewood is a NJ public school. Good, but Landon will roll them.

You never know who will show up for Culver - half the team may be back in Canada and not willing to travel

Agree GC has the best draw

First he isn't a sports reclass as he was held back in Kindergarten due to learning disabilities/dyslexia. He recently turned 15. He only plays in tourneys that he's aged verified for. It really shouldn't matter because high school lacrosse is high school lacrosse and everyone has to compete against older and younger kids. Yes his club team is good and yes 6 of them are going to SJC and yes 3 of them played in NHSLS and contributed. Hope this forum can move away from discussing kids and focus on DMV lacrosse overall and how lucky we are to be a part of it and watch it. Let's move on.

Is there not more than one 15 year old on this team?? Why do you assume anyone is talking about yours? Stay humble bruh.

There are several...

“Not the kid or family you want to hate on. Trust me!”

We have been warned and he showed up like they said he would.

Will Nic Bell bring in transfers? the 2028-2030 classes are quite weak at Bullis. Totally lacking fire power up front and doesn't have a real goalie after the 28 kid transferred to SJC.

It's an old trope that is no more accurate for Mater Dei than it is for any other private school in the area, but if it makes people feel better than by all means....

Safe to say, every private school has kids in their 8th grade class who have re-classed for whatever reason. the scale at which mater dei does it, is on a different level and its academics are a average at best.

Curious - how do you know Mater Dei does it on a different level than other private schools? Do you have class lists with birthdays for each MD student that you compare against a large enough comp set of other schools in the area?

How are you determining that Mater Dei's academics are "average at best"? Do you have kids that have attended MD as well as other grade schools and you therefore have a solid ability to compare? Do you track MD graduates through high school, get ahold of their GPA's and then see what colleges they attend?

I can both recognize MD's missteps and opportunities and appreciate that MD has an invested faculty and administration that provides a well-rounded education and faith formation to its students, so it gets old, even on a meaningless anonymous forum, to watch people throw bombs without ever siting specifics or backing up their claims...

I'll beat everyone to it - I felt compelled to defend the school but I know it's DCUM and I'll get over myself now.
