Based on Jake Tapper’s book lol. “Insiders” meaning that one guy who spoke about his debate performance with no context including Biden had traveled extensively and contracted Covid just weeks before.
Biden has a typical aging brain, hearing loss, and stutter. Call it whatever you want, but he’s not an evil man. Biden’s administration didn’t threaten, terrorize, or destroy everyone in its path. And he’s got Elon Musk, who is a mental health study in and of himself. Musk is on the spectrum; like Trump, he is hypomanic, and like Trump, he is clearly also a sociopath. He feels no remorse in inflicting pain on people; in fact, he feels a sense of glee and mastery in doing it. We have to remember that malignant narcissists are sadists. They revel in being destructive, humiliating, insulting, degrading, laughing at other people’s pain and humiliation. There’s a phrase for that: Omnipotent destructiveness. It’s feeling powerful in an excited way because you’re destroying things or people or institutions. So there is this glee, a sadistic, almost satanic glee they’re taking in all of the harm and uncertainty and chaos and fear they’re generating. |

Anyone with just a smidgen of common sense and life experience knows 80 year old people are terrible options to serve a four year term in the most powerful and demanding job on the planet. Seriously, you need a medical professional to confirm the obvious? Do better people! |

Trump won’t release actual medical records or college transcripts. As of October 12, 2024, Trump had not released his health information since 2015, despite promising in August 2024 to release results of a recent examination. | geez, I wish we were ruled by mentally impaired Biden right now.........strong economy, strong stock market, inflation still above 2% but around 3% and going down, dollar and US securities the safe haven for the world, US academic institutions the beacon of science research with best students and researchers worldwide eager to join them, federal bureaucracy working and keeping the country going, heck, even Canadians happy to spend winter vacations in the US. look where we are now with the stable genius. I don't think it was a "power-hungry" cabal. I would assume Kamala Harris would have preferred to step into the role of President, if Biden stepped down. If Harris were "power hungry" she could have been more intentional about pushing Biden aside earlier. I don't think the institution of the presidency makes it easy to nudge someone aside. The only way to force Biden out would have been for a majority of the cabinet to declare him incompetent. No one would want to do that unless they're absolutely 100% positive. Someone would have to take the lead and coordinate such a move. If they fail they look like a traitor. If Harris tried to do it she would look "power hungry." So they waited until the evidence was undeniable and Biden stepped aside. Ideally, there would be some objective arbiter of the president's fitness to serve. But I don't know if such objectivity is feasible or how we could create such an arbiter. |

This is what it all comes down to. I can see how people who really want to talk about Biden are frustrated that people keep changing the topic — they felt like they were yelling into the void before, and now they want everyone to admit they were right all along. But the thing is, most people *accepted* that Biden seemed cognitively impaired before the election. That’s not news. It’s why he was pressured into dropping out. In a normal political situation, that would indeed be a huge scandal. But our country is nowhere near a normal political situation. BOTH of the candidates were too old and showing signs of significant cognitive decline. But one was surrounded by competent professionals who were running business as usual (for better or for worse) and the other has always been capricious, is surrounded by crackpots, conspiracy theorists, and megalomaniacs, and is following a playbook so extreme that he felt the need before the election to pretend he knew nothing about it. The choice between those two candidates should be an easy choice 100% of the time. |
