I tend to agree, but let’s not forget that Trump did a bunch of tariffs during his first term that bankrupted lots of soybean farmers. Sometimes ideology overrides financial interest.

Well lots of these people have been here for a while so lots of assets to take- cars, houses and bank accounts! Plus I imagine people will contract work with them, wait till it done then call the bounty hunters or federal law enforcement.

Just by sheer numbers you should be fine, but there will definitely be some examination of naturalized citizens' citizenship case/history to look for naturalizations to roll back. what the parameters of that will be is anyone's guess.

Just by sheer numbers you should be fine, but there will definitely be some examination of naturalized citizens' citizenship case/history to look for naturalizations to roll back. what the parameters of that will be is anyone's guess.

You're right, but I can totally see Trump announcing the program even though there is no program. And then no one will actually get paid, of course.

I work in “welfare” and there is nothing for those without any status. One needs to have some sort of immigration status, however temporary (TPS, asylum application preapproved, etc) to get benefits.

Yea and the non status mother has a child born here in the US. That child is then entitled to benefits.
