I mean this spin isn't going to work. This rally is a horror show. And if PP's claim is a lie, I imagine you find it endearing given your candidate's propensity for them.

What I see is Republicans and Independents having a good time and making some pretty effective political pitches to voters. It’s only a horror show if you’re on Team Kamala and watching her campaign flounder badly by comparison.

Ok, I know, I know…MUH NAZIS!!!!

It doesn't feel like enthusiasm. It feels like blind rage mixed with fake bravado. It just feels aggro. And the crowd isn't just mostly white -- it is dominated by men. Like by a lot. It's weird to have a political rally that is this skewed.

A lot of the speakers have really extensive and weird looking plastic surgery. And not just the women or the Trumps. Tucker looks pinched and tucked in an uncomfortable way. Elon looks like an alien. It's uncanny valley stuff. If it was 1998 and you saw footage of this you'd be like "what is wrong with their faces -- why would anyone do this."

Regarding the "substance" they just repeat the same easily disproven lies over and over. A key talking point is that "they" tried to kill Trump. The implication is that of course the Democrats did it but he was shot at by a registered Republican with mental health issues.

The racism isn't just dog whistles. It's just open and contemptuous. They are saying that democrats are trying to "replace" Americans with immigrants. The comedian with all the racist lines was egregious but it's in line with the rest of the rally. They use words like "invasion" and "lowlifes" to describe immigrants and people who live in cities (while also praising NYC and claiming Trump "made" the city). It's very creepy.

Anyway Trump is talking now and he has less energy than most of the speakers who preceded him. He speaks in this dull monotone. The only person less convincing was melania who appeared to read her speech without comprehending it.

I just don't understand what is compelling about this unless you've just given up on life. It's offensive yes. But it's also just a bummer and extremely depressing.

I’m an immigrant and I’m not for open boarders. But how any immigrant could vote for Trump, esp. us non Anglo ones, baffles me. The writing is on the wall. He means you too, people. Is it denial? Leopards Ate My Face syndrome incoming for these people…

No one is for open borders. If there were open borders, then interdictions and apprehensions would be down to zero, and there would be no deportations. Instead, all of those are up under Biden.

+1 And a lot of democrats have been calling for a LONG time to fix our immigration system so that instead of having lots of people sneaking into the country for jobs or to escape political unrest we could have processes in place that would allow people in on work visas and keep track of them and also place reasonable limits on how many come in at once.

A huge part of what is broken with our immigration system is that a lot of illegal immigration should actually just be legal and controlled. And if you do that then you can actually take advantage of what is great about immigration while also controlling what can be bad about it.

But whenever we try to address this issue we get locked in a debate with people who just hate immigrants. If the Immigration bill had passed it would have made some strides in this direction but it got shut down by Trumpers in Congress (after they'd supported it!) even though it included tons of provisions for limiting and controlling immigration.

Trump and his party don't actually want to solve the immigration crisis. They want to use it get people to vote for them. They love the crowds of migrants at the border because they can turn them into a bogeyman to scare people with. Once you actually talk about solving the problem they get bored.

Democrats are NOT in favor of "open borders" and all the crap that Republicans claim. Democrats want reforms to fix a lot of the problems. Remember, it was Trump's loyalists in Congress who shut down the Bipartisan Border Bill and then lied about it claiming it was a bad bill when in fact it addressed many things their own House bill didn't.

Democrats want solutions. Republicans just want to grandstand on the problem and hurl blame everywhere without actually fixing it.

Any Republican voting for Republicans because they think they have the answers and will fix it are kidding themselves. That's already been proven.

This is absolute BS. The first thing Biden did in office was open up the border with executive orders. He was open about it at the time. Harris insisted the border was secure. Stop trying to rewrite history because your candidate is tacking to the center to try to garner votes.

No, democrat's do not want solutions. They want to continue to make problems to keep themselves employed. They set group against group to divide and conquer and consolidate power.

NP. I'm not watching the rally, but his playlist includes an Elvis medley with Dixie. That was one of the songs he swayed to at his weird PA town hall.

Is it a bigger horror show than the 30k Kamala had in Houston? Her big rally at a big venue is completely reminiscent of nazi germany. Big venue, big crowd, that’s total nazi stuff.

pp is completely lying about the Trump swastika campaign signs, they do not exist.

Beyonce and her mom are quite different than the pile of vile garbage speaking at MSG. What did anyone say in Houston that was racist or fascist?

Trump's Madison Square Garden event turns into a rally with crude and racist insults

Several of Donald Trump’s allies have used crude and extreme rhetoric toward Vice President Kamala Harris and other Trump critics before the former president was to take the stage at New York’s Madison Square Garden

Donald Trump hosted a rally featuring crude and racist insults at New York's Madison Square Garden on Sunday, turning what his campaign had advertised as the event where he would deliver his closing message in the campaign's final days to an illustration of what turns off his critics.

Several speakers crudely insulted Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, vying to become the first woman and Black woman to win the presidency. And a stand-up comedian made lewd and racist comments about Latinos, Jews and Black people, all key constituencies in the election just nine days away.

You seem to think fascism is just a symbol and not a governing ideology.

Clinton, Obama and Biden all inherited HUGE problems and all three left or are leaving office with those problems address and a growing economy. At every turn, it is the GOP that crashed the economy, explodes the debt and stands as obstacles to legislation that would actually solve the problem. Trump had the White House, House and senate for two years - the ONLY meaningful bill passed when he had the trifecta was a tax cut that exploded the debt and consolidated wealth. Nothing for the working class, nothing to fix the border, nothing dealing with healthcare.

Wow. That was the crudest, most vulgar and hateful rally I have ever watched.

What I saw was sexist vulgarity against women, and racist comments against nearly every minority group in the US:
1. Clinton and Harris were both called sexist insults. Harris was said to have pimps and have low IQ.
2. Puerto Ricans were called garbage. Latinos were accused of having sex with the country and having lots of babies because of their pullout method.
3. Palestinians were stone-throwers.
4. Jews were cheapskates.
5. I'm sure I'm missing lots of other insults. Oh yes! The Black person in the audience was told something about watermelons but I didn't catch what it was.

If this rally is part of Trump’s "closing argument" he's toast.

There's over 400k Puerto Ricans in Pennsylvania alone.

Legal immigrants HATE illegal immigrants from their own country.

This is what this closing statement is about.

Puerto Ricans are American citizens. Jesus.

Me again. Just want to reiterate, because it's really shocking, how much it went beyond the misogyny and racism of normal Trump rallies. It's like some of the commentators were on drugs or something. Just unbelievable. And that's after years of being used to "regular" Trump rallies.
