Please explain how so-called inalienable rights are determined. Do I have an inalienable right to multiple wives? Well I think I do because sleeping with lots of people is natural so marriage to many women via legal contract is an inalienable human right. And any government than forbids it is Fascist.

You and I may agree that slavery is not OK. But the fact that we agree on this is pretty amazing. Because for most of human history, slavery was enthusiastically practiced by the powerful. And, still today is practiced today in many countries. There are more people in slavery today than any other time in human history. I doubt those enslavers and enslaved agree that banishing slavery is an inalienable human right.

Christ Almighty NO ONE EVER SAID IT WOULD STOP THE SPREAD. Vaccines lose efficacy over time as new strains arise, after which new vaccines are developed. 40% efficacy is still better than zero, and in the meantime it slowed the fatality rate.
