Why should they? The child is not really part of the family.

Why is the child different than the other grandchildren, in your opinion?

For starters, he's never met her.

The only differences between this child and the other grandchildren are that the parents weren’t married and that the father refused to meet and have a relationship with the child.

That speaks entirely to the character of Hunter Biden.

And it also speaks to the character of the people that raised Hunter, Joe and Jill. Their “support” for Hunter is actually called “enabling.”

The family of the mother has been actively loving and caring for the child. They don’t talk loudly to the media for show, they just do what should be done for the child. Now the Bidens are trying to not get their hypocrisy called out during an election cycle, coming up soon.

Yes, we know--you've told us a 100 times. For the life of me, I can't understand why you would want this poor child to spend time with a coke/sex addict and a senile hair-sniffer (not my words).

PS. This issue may be a big deal in your mind, but it will fade away in due time. It just doesn't have the traction you think it does.

PPS. Trump will lose again.

This story has more traction than you would like for it to have

Exactly.

You're wasting your time.

DP... Yeah much better if it were spending time with a senile national-secrets-stealing, racist, orange adderall snorter with a combover who would talk about grabbing women by the pussy and wanting to date his granddaughter. You do know that Trump is still far and away the frontrunner going into the primaries, right? So why even bring these kinds of contorted, crap Biden arguments up when there isn't actually a counter from the other side?

They’re just spamming boards to distract from his latest indictment. Notice that they try to bury any reasonable response and report every post calling them out.

Meanwhile, craven leftists try to explain away why President Family Man has taken four years to admit the existence of a grandchild!

“Hunter Biden also initially denied Navy Roberts was his daughter, but a DNA test in 2019 proved their relationship. In his memoir, in which he detailed the depths of his struggles with drug addiction, he wrote that he remembered little about the period of his life that included his involvement with Lunden Roberts.“

I think Joe Biden needs to think about the grandchild in this situation. She’s been treated very badly by her father, his son. As a grandfather, a grandfather that clearly cares deeply for his family, how can he not care about what this child has gone through and what she will go through as she gets older and learns the facts surrounding her father and her birth and childhood?

Sheesh

He's an absolute disaster of a person.

And I still don't understand Lunden being on his payroll. That is sketch.

Honestly, this kid is probably better NOT having a relationship with him.

I still think people need to think about the circumstances surrounding ALL of this. Please explain how they can have a NORMAL grandparent relationship with her?

In our personal lives, we have a nephew who is only LEGALLY our nephew. After his mother sued our BIL as part of a divorce, relations with this child were strained as BIL was unable to have a relationship with his "son" (mostly because a paternity test would take it ALL away) My husband and I did manage to see him a couple times over the years, but it was NOT easy. We have only started to have a more serious relationship with him in the past few years as he became an adult, got married and had a child of his own (he's in his 20s now).

I share this story because it IS complicated in reality to have a relationship with a child during a legal battle.

Hunter was also exchanging sexual text messages with Hallie's then-married sister Elizabeth Secundy around that time. In a 2016 text conversation recovered from his abandoned laptop hard drive, Hunter offered to teach Secundy 'how to masturbate.’ Secundy, 49, who was married to husband Joel Secundy, referred to Hunter as her 'prince' and told him she loved him in the texts. Another conversation showed Hunter texted Secundy telling her he had been up late watching 'bad porno movies like I'm 13.’ Secundy separated from her husband and father of her three children in 2015 after 15 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized three years later.

Files on the laptop suggest the relationship continued well into 2018, with one document showing they had rented a home together starting in July that year.

The confusing tangle continued well into 2018, as Hunter and Elizabeth signed a rental agreement together on a $2,200-per-month, three-bed colonial townhouse in Greenville, Delaware, according to documents on the abandoned laptop.

At this point the trolls are keeping the thread going just to post all the lurid details a cocaine and sex addict’s disgusting life. You’re literally getting off on this.

Nope. There is no reason Joe and Jill can’t care for the grandchild and love her. Hunter is a mess. He’s created a child and the child deserves to be loved by her family, all her family. Joe and Jill can’t wait until the magic moment Hunter gets his life straight to do so. Somehow Hunter can do anything he wants and is loved unconditionally, but a child who is his daughter and innocent is not even allowed to be counted as a grandchild until age 4 for what reason?

I am truly trying to understand what you want J&J to do. You really don't know what has been going on behind the scenes.

Any relationship here is going to be strained at best. She just isn't going to be part of the family like the rest of the grandkids - it's just a fact, for better or worse. I have full blooded cousins who never really "fit in" because they lived pretty far away and they didn't get to form the bonds that the rest of us did - can you imagine being brought in as the result of Hunter's coked up sexcapades? "Hey kids, here is your cousin that uncle Hunter created with a stripper while he was drugged out of his mind..." They can all try to act normal, but the situation isn't normal and you know it.

It isn't the kid's fault at all and I feel awful that she will eventually know the entire story. That alone will be years of therapy. But now some are demanding J&J step in the middle of this mess and force bonds that likely just will not be there.
