Congrats to all the kids with acceptances to all these great schools!

I like this thread...reminds me of the "happy news" thread n the health forum last year. Let's keep it going!

Thank you so much! She is thrilled and it’s looking like MSU may be it. She isn’t applying to any schools regular decision. First choice is UMD but her counselor said you just never know with them but don’t count on it ( . I hope everyone gets acceptances where they really want.

In-school decision today! UMW.

Great news, PP!! My alma mater, so I'm biased.

So happy. And such a different experience in our household compared to what I read on DCUM. UMW was the first college tour we took last summer. DD wanted to stay relatively close (in state or near). She was not into the college process at all. But seeing UMW was a turning point -- it seemed right-sized and more personal. She came away thinking "this could work!" And, although we did tour one large state school in person (twice) and another virtually, her mind was set on UMW. I think it'll be a good fit for her -- which is what really matters.

When you know what you want, it's low drama.

Is MSU Michigan State or Mississippi State (or something else)? Congrats regardless and good luck with Maryland!

Anyone have any intel on U of SC? They say "by mid-December" for EA, so is that anytime now depending on # of applicants?

Yep good news and lots of happy students who applied to schools they wanted to go to not all these high stressed crazy parents having their kids apply to the top colleges. The blood bath will start soon. I never understood what the point it putting so much stress on kids to go to "that school"

Raising a glass to our average kids, well done.

Clemson has started to admit high stat kids. I think TN is coming soon. Kid applied to both and waiting.

This should be a mission statement for the college search.
