Potatoes in Whole Foods prepared foods are always raw

Anonymous
Every time I've gotten prepared foods from Whole Foods that include potatoes, the potatoes are crunchy, partially raw, and uncooked. It has been with multiple kinds of potato salad, their mashed potatoes, and their grilled potatoes. The supreme exception to this is that if they have mashed potatoes in their hot buffet, they are amazingly delicious and always perfectly done. Do some people prefer underdone potatoes? Or do they just need to adjust their cooking time for their recipes? Or is it just me? Has anyone else ever noticed this?

Me too. They got one try. It's not hard to cook potatoes; why can't they?

All of their prepared food is tasteless and awful. I dont know why people here keep recommending them for thanksgiving.

I've noticed this with items that contain Brussels sprouts and beets too - crunchy and under done.

Undercooked potatoes are healthier and lower GI.

WholeFoods is doing you all a favor, and all you can do is bitch and moan about it.

Enjoy your diabeetus.

I find this true of a lot of places. No one seems to be able to cook potatoes.

I will agree with that. I think it's easier to cut when it's still firm, especially then you're making huge batches. I only like my home-made potato salad for this reason.

You have a poor understanding of nutrition. One does not develop diabetes from refusing to undercooked potatoes.
